Treasured memories

Our stay was wonderful! It was peaceful and cozy. Great walking distance restaurants. Walking trails nearby. Beautiful flower gardens on the grounds of Back Bay Inn. Loved the sunsets. We plan on staying here again!

a nice enough stay

check in was friendly, and there was a wine reception when we arrived, though it was really only a couple of open bottles of wine and some snacks in a room without a bay view. our room was clean, comfortable but nothing special. we got $7 vouchers at the semi-attached breakfast spot, good breakfast burritos and bear claws, though the staff was really only friendly one of the three days we were there; not rude, but the first morning person was definitely different than the next two. our kitchenette was okay; the fridge was pretty small and constantly had melted freezer water at the bottom; the freezer didn't fully freeze our ice packs; and there were only three forks and a couple of dishes. i think we wanted to like it more after the initial greeting and the grounds, but in the end it was only just "mostly okay". i wouldn't recommend against staying here, and we have a friend who lives nearby that we visit, and so we may start again. just want people reading this to know what you are getting for the price. it was worth what we paid, but not a "hidden gem" or anything.

Staff were friendly and the bay view was amazing!! Lots of places to eat in town. If you’re looking for solitude this is the place to go but close enough to other places if you need variety!!

My reservation was not expected since although the room on ocean view was not available, expedia website showed it was available and I could reserve the room. So when I went to the hotel, I had to give up the ocean view room. My credit card was already charged for this booking (original reservation changes for the additional cost). A magical Morro Bay option

What a special place next to Morro Bay with a view that will take your breath away the service was immaculate we had the room with a fireplace upstairs and I would definitely be back don't hesitate to book a room here

It was a beautiful location and the room was lovely. We loved the balcony and the view was esquisite. I loved the staff. They were all very helpful. Two things that would have made it all even better. The heating/AC unit seemed to go on even after we turned it down and it was super loud. It would also have been nice if there was an additional mirror outside of the bathroom.

The view was breathtaking, the property very well maintained, staff courteous and helpful. The only thing that we didn’t care for was unit 15. It’s the last one on the end. The clerk said we had the best room for a sunset view. Yes the Sunset was beautiful but the patio table and chairs were on the opposite side. We couldn’t switch them to the other side because then we would block the door that you come in and out of and we couldn’t stand and admire it either because the room before ours had their opening to their patio room on our side so they could see the sunset too! Which meant no privacy for us. Also for some reason the local bicyclist kept coming down the sidewalk like if they were gonna go through the side of our Unit but stopped when they seen us and went back around through the public access. The local Cafe on premises had delicious breakfast burritos!! So they only thing I suggest is do not get the 2 rooms at the end! Ours was #15 and not sure the number of the Unit before ours!!
