Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a dusty old doll house? Here's your chance. Hotel Beacon Inn 1750 is a conundrum. The location is great, right on the T, Green Line, with easy access to the medical district, Fenway, and nice restaurants/cafés within walking distance. The price is a good value for Brookline. The front desk attendant was friendly.
The problem is this old girl has seen better days. Check in is mashed up with the 'breakfast' service area, just inside the front door. The rooms are in rough shape, and the bathroom was in bad shape. The brand new television hung on the wall didn't work. No night tables by the bed and only two outlets in the room. The window air conditioner was taped into the window.
Hotel Beacon Inn 1750 needs a glow up in the worst way but has a few good attributes most specifically location and walkability.
