Etablissement au top, notre deuxième séjour toujours aussi bien, place de parking à coté, idéal pour visiter cette magnifique ville d'ELVAS à pied. Personnels très agréables , si vous passez dans le coin il ne faut surtout pas hésiter

Mixed feelings but overall disappointing

They did not provide us with the VIP treatment (welcome drinks) promised in my Hotels.com reservation. 3 euros for a beer at the hotel bar is crazy expensive for a small Portuguese town. On top of that, the two waiters were serving cocktails to themselves and drinking them in front of us. Surreal, I have never seen such thing in my life. I have been visiting hotels at least twice a month for business in more than 50 countries Hot water was not available in my room. Dinner was good at a decent price. The building is beautiful but should be taken care of better. Breakfast buffet is not a 4 star one. Far from it.

A cheap basic hotel in a good location.

The rooms were very basic not a bit like the one on the website. No bedside tables and nowhere to put things down as there was only one small table. There was only luke warm water to the sink and bath. When we arrived at reception we asked if the restaurant was open that evening and was told that it would be at 7.30pm. We arrived just after 8pm but there were no staff and we were told the bartender would be back in five minutes. 10 minutes later we found him but he said that there were no hot meals that evening and the restaurant was closed but he could make us a sandwich. Definitely Not 4 star.

For dinner I ordered soup and when it came the soup was cold. I had to ask them to heat up the soup, which also tells me the soup was not fresh. Then when the main course spaghetti arrived, it was cold too and that's when I decided that was enough so I spoke to the waiter and he said he wouldn't charge me for the spaghetti since I didn't eat it. This four star hotel is overrated because it should be a one star hotel. Second time of staying at the same hotel I now see the true colors of the staff. Every time I asked a question, the red hair receptionist (forget her name) was always playing /shuffling paperwork as if she was too busy to even print me a receipt upon check-out. Check first to see who the kitchen staff is before you order the food. If it's Ines (the short lady with long hair) do not order and go somewhere else. She's also not friendly and never smiles at us. There are two Ines' in dinning. We gave this hotel a good rating at first but after the second time of staying there, we chaned our minds especially after receiving the cold food. We were blown out of our minds that this could be happening at a four star hotel.

Whenever we needed new towels, the housekeeping staff would drop everything to accommodate us immediately. They would even shorten their lunch hour to meet our needs. The housekeeping employees work hard, they provide high quality care and services, they are dedicated to their job, and they go above and beyond 100 percent. Thank you to Dalila, Monica, Teresa, and Vera for their professionalism, warm greetings and big smiles everyday.

Esperava melhor para um 4****

O hotel precisa de muitas remodelações, principalmente se quer continuar a ser 4****. O hotel já era de 2004 e não deve ter sofrido nenhuma remodelação. O Quarto muito degradado, com as paredes riscadas, extremamente quente, não conseguíamos controlar o calor e o quarto era pequeno. Tinha buracos no teto, a roupa de cama já degradada, não tinha mesas de cabeceira, o cheiro do armário a mofo, e acordamos com barulho de ratos a correr no teto…o pequeno almoço tomos tomar faltava meia hora mas estiveram constantemente a avisar que vão encerrar as 10:30. Não aguardam nada. O restaurante do hotel não tem uma cozinha extraordinária, não estava mau mas era muito caro tendo em conta a qualidade da comida… Os funcionários foram prestáveis e simpáticos. Mas não é o suficiente. Não compreendo quem dá as estrelas, se depois não há um controlo para garantirem que continuam a merecer….

Hotel Histórico necessitando renovações

A propriedade é muito antiga, um hotel histórico, mas que não foi atualizada para se manter confortável nos dias atuais. A cama é antiga e com o colchão um pouco afundado. Não há tomada disponível no quarto. Alguém fechou um portão de ferro no meio da noite, nos acordando. A recepção foi gentil, os funcionários do hotel foram amáveis. Há vagas de estacionamento disponíveis. A área externa da propriedade é bonita, há um pátio com laranjeiras bem agradável.
