We had a good stay at this motel. They had a laundry that customers could use. Right next-door is a great restaurant, called the cowboy Café, which has great food. And down the road east is the military museum of tanks and cars, which is totally amazing. You must check that out if you are there. We loved Dubois

Nice but drive slow

Nice place to stay for the price, but if you plan on visiting the Tetons it’s a good hours drive, the town has plenty of places to eat and very safe. Just a word if caution when driving through town, the speed limit goes from 70 to 45 to 30 in a short distance and they love giving tickets, there has been many postings of this going on in Dubois. Just slow down

Western kitsch!

Pretty standard 2 star hotel. But was clean and everything in good shape. Firm mattress. Coffee shop and several restaurants w/i walking distance. It's western kitsch, but let's face it, that's the areas clientele for the most part.

New owners who don't know how to run resort. Had to ask for towels every day but one. The never came and clean room or make beds. After finally getting angry someone finally came to our room on the last night after ^ at night asking if we need towels and room cleaned. We reused since we had gotten towel earlier that day after complaining.

Quaint Roadside motel, conveniently located in town. easy walk to dinner and shopping of this nice town of 900. It has decent sized rooms, nice king size bed (in our room). The power went out about 9 am and no one to assist as the office was closed and not reopening til 10. No one there to assist between 10 and 10. the power did return after 20 minutes. its quaint, great location, nice town.

The proprietor sent me a voicemail just before they close at 10 PM. Because I could not arrive in time he fortunately left our key in an envelope taped to the door. That was wonderful. It was also very trusting. The one thing I wanted to say to him, but we left before the 10 AM opening of the office. Was that room 214 drain in the shower does not go down. He needs to fix that. Not cool that water is over my ankles when I take a shower.

The property was very well kept up with a laundry and horseshoe game on the property. The hot tub was clean and new but it was no warmer than a Luke warm bath. Definitely not a hot tub. Towels and linens were clean but the cost of the hotel did not justify its services. We paid same price for a hotel in Yellowstone that had better services.

Disappointing stay. Arrived at our room only to find the bathroom had not been cleaned from previous guests! There was toothpaste spit all in and around the sink. I ended up using a towel to just clean it myself and also wiping down the dirty walls. Sink barely drained. Toilet wouldn’t stop running, had to make an effort after every flush to try and make it stop somehow by careful placement of the toilet handle. Shower head had a leak that sprayed water up and out over the shower curtain and onto the floor, creating a puddle on the floor. Speaking of shower curtain, it was stained and dirty! Toilet hadn’t been cleaned in a while either, as evident by the ring-around-the-toilet. Just an overall feeling of “yuck” the whole time I was there. Didn’t enjoy it at all. There aren’t many places to stay in this little town, and none of the other hotels looked very nice either. Dubois is in a beautiful area, but I won’t be spending a night in this town ever again.

Disappointed with this stay

This was our 3rd stay at the Stagecoach, and this time the room was disappointing. The battery in the thermostat was dead so we didn't have any AC. The door to the small freezer section of the little frig in the room was broken off, so we couldn't use it for our blue ice cubes. And the bathtub didn't look as clean as I would expect. For the price we paid, I would have expected more. Unfortunately we will not be returning to this motel on our future trips to Yellowstone.

Spendy for what you get

Pros-Close to food & shopping. Cowboy Cafe just steps away. Nice pool, grassy areas for your pup. Cons- Fridge smelled when we opened it. Not pleasant! Requested a main floor room. They gave me an upstairs room. I arrived at 3:00 checkin & they said they had no ground level rooms but the place only had 5-6 rooms occupied. Then they gave me a key to a main level room that had someone in it. I was so embarrassed! So back to the upstairs. They offered to help carry things up but what good is that when I had to do steps to carry down & walk my pup several times. Flight up onto sidewalk, walk left then up another flight from parking lot. Plus, the steps were loose. Sketchy! Also, paid $40 extra for my dog & it seems we always get a room that is less than stellar. Hole in bathroom wall, toilet runs, paint peeling in places, etc. My dog is NOT destructive but I pay more for less.
