A late 1800s gem! Unique and different

An amazingly old hotel built in late 1800s and it feels like it!! Original wooden boards at the entry. The house is on a lean and even the staircase is on a tilt. Very unique, but expected for an almost 150 year old home. Home creaks like a ghost may be around the corner. A real neat experience. The quiet hours are real. I got “shhhhh’d” right after 10 and was just talking with son. I hope it was not the creaky floors. You gotta walk to bathroom!

Amazing place w/ a fabulous hostess..will return!

Super cool and historic property! Place was warm and cozy with an amazing historic and friendly vibe! Lauren is just lovely and her story of the bldg is super sweet. I arrived after dark but easily navigated my way around. Lauren was also available by phone to answer a few questions. Breakfast was yummy with many great options! My only request...eliminate bacon. Pigs are very intelligent animals with feelings of pain, joy and community. :-)

Historic gem in lovely location.

Stopped here during a snowstorm when pulled off the highway - a nice find! This is gem of a place in a beautiful location, and provided us what we needed. With self-check in, and our late arrival during a storm, we never saw anyone at all. Shared bathroom is clean, bed was comfortable, and morning provided muffins and beverages in lounge. We were grateful.

Warmer would be nicer but love this place

Great atmosphere I love the idea of the old timey house it was great other than the fact that it's an actual old house and the bedroom was freezing all night long with the heater on high other than that great place fun definitely full communal though that didn't bother me any! Thanks for the stay

Great stay fresh out of history, creaky floors slanted hallways, felt like a haunted house with lots of friendly ghosts! Great hostess who was friendly and full of information and made fresh pumpkin muffins and burritos for breakfast. I cant wait to go back to stay in another turn of the century room!

Mann kann ein historisches Gebäude authentisch renovieren oder man kann es wie hier verfallen lassen. Die Tapeten lösen sich von Wänden und Decke, an der Decke ist ein großer Wasserfleck, es riecht nach Mottenkugeln und das "Frühstück" sieht fragwürdig und alt aus. Ich habe es nicht probiert und auch die Eigentümer nicht zu Gesicht bekommen.

Got in late , easy entry. Nice shower , very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast and conversation with proprietor. She text me after I left , showing me my watch charger I had left . And easily retrieved after our train ride , which is 5 minutes away.

I needed a last minute late night hotel close to Mount Bierstadt so I can claim it the next morning. This worked out perfect. I got up at 3:00 and there was coffee, tea and food in the breakfast area so I was able to get fueled up and ready for the climb. It was Great!

Beautiful! Love the food, atmosphere and cozy room. There is also a trail to hike up within walking distance. Leads to an old mine/mining area! The bed was very comfy. We stayed in room 6. Walking around the town was also very fun.
