A nice change from the corporate hotels

This is a lovely place! We used 3 rooms upstairs and were very comfortable. Our older teenage boys are used to regular hotels, but loved how the Bards Inn felt like a home.

This is a charming, quaint historic home right in the heart of downtown Cedar City. It is a beautiful drive to the Zion Canyon area and Zion itself. There are also back road options. The host is friendly and displays a beautiful breakfast setting with very tasty choices. There

Great B & B. Very nice owners, Susan and Jan. Nice breakfast. Like the coffee pot in the room. Comfortable bed, very lovely sheets and towels. Definitely a place to stay in Cedar City. Walkable to the Shakespeare Festival.

An absolute delight!

This Inn has become a delightful tradition for our annual trip to the Shakespeare Festival. We love the B&B breakfast where there is the option to chat with other guests about the various plays. *the host is lovely and will accomodate GF/DF needs...just let her know in advance.

An absolute delight!

An absolute delight! We were in town for the Shakespeare Festival. The inn was a quick walk to the theaters & restaurants. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean & the decor added to the charm. I will be adding a stay at the Bard Inn to my annual festival tradition.

6/10 Good

We stayed in the basement apartment for a night. We liked that it has its own entrance and a kitchen. The space is full of knick knacks and lots of lamps so it feels a little cluttered and frilly. One of the bedrooms is clearly a storage closet. Breakfast was nice.

We loved it. It was so Cozy and charming. We were only able to stay one night but we regretted we were unable to stay longer. Our one request would be if breakfast could be served a bit earlier. By the way a very nice breakfast it was. 👍

Our room was ready and clean upon arrival. Check in was easy as our key was there in the room. Our Oberon Room was complete with a king and a full bed, kitchen with full size fridge. Breakfast included a spinich quiche, sausage links, cereal and small pastries, coffee and juice. The property is close to the cute downtown and is walkable. My wife and i would be happy to stay here again.

Loved the Rosalind Room!

The Rosalind Room was lovely. Big comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, good aircon, plenty of storage space and good bathroom. The private balcony was an added bonus. Very quiet with comfortable chairs- lovely to sit out on both in the morning when planning the day's activities and in the evening enjoying drinks while watching the sunset. The hosts were incredible and very friendly. Breakfast was varied and the best we've had in a while, with lovely homemade plum jam! Finding the place was easy and there was always parking just outside where our room was. We stayed here at the start of our road trip and again at the end and would definitely return if in the area. It's a great location for exploring Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon nearby.

Nice place. Only thing we would suggest, luggage racks in bedrooms (Katrina) over other decorative items

Staying at the Bard's Inn was a delight!

Staying at the Bard's Inn was a delightful experience! It was so convenient to the Shakespeare festival, shops, and dining. Breakfast was amazing, with homemade items and lots of choices.
Anne, 2-night trip

It's cozy and themed to the Festival. Susan is very knowledgeable about the plays and the Festival history. The breakfast each day is delicious and varied. There was major construction going on next door which made it noisy and a bit dirty, but that's temporary, I'm sure. It was a wonderful stay.

Everything was warm and welcoming!

4/10 Fair

The property is unique and historically significant. The room was comfortable, with a kitchenette. However, it was crowded with furniture (no place to conveniently open a suitcase other than the floor or bed). Also, both the curtains and fabric shower curtain hadn’t been dusted in a long time, and the shower curtain liner was mildewed on the hem. The wall around the bathroom sink was spattered. I found sleeping impossible not because the bed was uncomfortable (it was great) but because the sheets reeked of fabric softener. My hands and pajamas actually smelled like fabric softener, it was so strong. The bathroom towels smelled like they had been forgotten in the washer and the musty smell covered up with excessive fabric softener. The breakfast was good and offered lots of choices, including delicious homemade yogurt. Even though this place is incredibly convenient to the Utah Shakespeare Festival, I do not plan to stay here again if I attend next year.
Kimbel, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

This was a great place for my family of 5 to stay. Plenty of room and space for sleeping. Thanks for the delicious breakfast as well!
Doug, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This is a quaint, older property in a quiet neighborhood. Very close to SUU and the Shakespeare theaters. We stayed in the basement Beatrice room. It looks just like the pictures on the website. Beds were comfy and we didn’t hear any noise from upstairs until around 8 am as they were setting up for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious! Vegetable frittata, sausage, homemade yogurt and granola. Yum! If you are looking for new and modern, this isn’t the place. But if you want to stay in a place with character and charm, this could be just right for you.
