We were returning from Yellowstone and wanted to see Dinosaur National Monument on our way back to New Mexico. After 8+ hours of driving, we wanted to get a meal, soak in a hot tub, and get a good night's sleep before visiting Dinosaur National Monument in the morning. The restaurant was still open when we arrived and they kept the pool/hot tub area open until 11 pm, giving us enough time to eat and relax before getting some sleep. We were very comfortable and pleased with our accomodations.

The most important thing for me is the bed. The beds at the Vernal Quality Inn did not disappoint! Very comfortable and we slept very well. The pillows were too soft for my liking but didn't impact my sleep. The lighting in the hallways is very dim and the hotel seemed dingy as it is an older hotel. The staff was nice as efficient. I was satisfied with me stay.

The motel is basic but the room was larger than most of the other ones we have stayed in. Hot tub was clean and hot. Didn't get up in time to try the breakfast. Desk clerk was very helpful and friendly. Didn't sample the restaurant inside of the motel. We over slept and weren't ready to check out by 11. Desk clerk said no problem and gave us an extra hour. I would recommend this motel. Had all of the basics. If you want all of the extra amenities that an expensive hotel might have, This motel may not be what you're looking for.

The bathroom in our room needed a little more care in cleaning the toilet and the door knob mechanism interfered with the bathroom door closing smoothly.
