We have been staying at the Cambria since 2018, and have always appreciated the high level of service received. There was a manager there over all those years who was especially great at being warm and welcoming. We usually make great efforts to stay at the Cambria, even when it is priced higher than some of the other options in the neighborhood.
Our most recent trip left us disappointed. The gentleman who checked us in was professional and kind. However, when we went to make a request at the front desk later on, the gentleman who spoke with us on the evening of June 19 was unnecessarily rude and condescending. We were just returning from a wonderful performance at the Met, and his demeanor really put a damper on our evening. While we would consider staying here again because we understand every operation can have an off day/bad apples, we will no longer make an effort to book solely at the Cambria, and will certainly consider other options (of which there are plenty).
