My son and I were attending a concert in Tahoe and booked a room at the Golden Nugget. We checked in quickly, dropped our bags off in the room, and went to dinner before we went straight to the concert. We did not get back to our room until 11:30 p.m. The only light in the room that worked was the entry. All of the lamps and clock were unplugged. When we moved the bedside table to try and plug in the light, there was a nest of cords and a power block, along with fuzz, lint and old food. The outlet was just a hole in the wall with no cover, and it was covered in lint as well. Huge fire hazard! I feel that this is unacceptable for the amount of money I paid for that room. My bed was not very comfortable, but my son said his was fine. The pillows were very uncomfortable as well. The linens and bathroom were clean and we had a nice view. When I checked out, the employee gave me $30 off the room for my inconvenience. I still feel paying over $300 for one night and having to deal with that was not worth it.
