Disappointed

Bathroom sink was backed up. Main door didn't open properly due to obstruction at the bottom of the door. Shower curtain was moist and couldn't tell if tile grout was clean. Walls around the baseboard in need of repair. At the edge of developing downtown Detroit but clearly on the wrong side of the development. Noisy. Loud traffic in parking lot all night long along with shouting and music. I wouldn't walk from this location into the downtown area. Bed was comfortable but once something makes you feel like it's unclean then the whole place seems to be unclean. As I wanted to be close to the Detroit Windsor tunnel it was only a couple blocks away. I chose this location without really knowing the area I was choosing in.

Good location to downtown Detroit and River Walk

The building had been recently renovated. The rooms were comfy and well appointed. Good to have a frig and microwave in the room. Bed and pillows were outstanding. The daytime front desk Tashan (?sp.) so helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable. She knew the area and gave good suggestions. I will stay here next time I am in Detroit.

The workers were behind a piece of glass and spoke so softly could not understand them at all kept having to ask them to repeat themselves. Between the bed and tv stand there was not even one foot to walk through seems like a fire hazard to me. The bed was so close could not open the drawers or the refrigerator so not sure what the point of having the refrigerator was. The bathroom door did not close. Not one channel on the tv came in. For $200 plus a night it was awful, shouldn’t have charged more than $49.99. The blanket on the bed was extremely thin along with completely flat pillows. Never again! I think hotels.com needs to start visiting the hotels they have on their website because it is giving hotels. Com a bad name. I would be more than happy to visit the hotels and report back to hotels. Com.

Extremely disappointed

This motel was the tiniest room we’ve ever stayed in and smelled of smoke. We could hear the neighbouring room talk, and coughing until 6am. We did not sleep one wink. It’s old, musty and no where near the value for what we paid. We were extremely disappointed. We would never stay there, or any other property by your establishment.

Refund never came.

I did a mistake by booking two nights instead of one. The person at the counter told me they would refund me later on but they never did and never even contacted me after. The room is old but fine. We stayed one night.

False advertising of facilities and services

Not good very disappointed booking this on your site false representation of conditions of hotel. Picture of Hotel and interior of rooms breakfast offerings are completely misleading as hotel current conditions are a lot older and worn down than pictured in you site. Also pictures on your site shows facilities for a great looking variety for free breakfast showing hot tables and such but the offerings for breakfast were very lacking We were very surprised at the difference than what was pictured. Also on your ste it says local shuttle available which was one of the real features that we needed as we were in town for a 3day car show and we’re going to use to go back and forth but when we arrived we were told that it only runs between 4pm and midnight which would not work for us at all. We then had to book a rental car which was on short notice so that even cost us more than if they told us when booking.The only availability for any drinks or snack was just two machines off of lobby which both were out of order not out of product, but not working and was told by staff has not for over a month. And there is no where near by to go to in area which is not a great area to walk in And the room I booked was told would be able to be adjacent to another we had booked but when we checked in as the rooms were a single and a double whic mean they are only available on one side of motel or the other which really made it inconvenient for people we were travelling with.

Serviceable, great staff, needs a serious update.

The staff was great. Our first room was really bad, but the staff switched us to another room. This hotel needs a makeover, badly. Big positive -- the bed was very comfortable.
