Dated but delightful.

The front desk staff was amazingly helpful, courteous, and thoughtful. The hotel itself was dated and gave off early 80’s vibes, but the room was relatively clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was delightful. And the ocean… steps from our room. No complaints.

Cute but not well kept

Very cute 1950's retro motel but not well kept. Pool was dirty. Blackout curtains blocked window AC unit so had to keep them open, even at night. Range vent and light not operational. Bed was fairly comfortable. They could really do better - remove the table and chairs with the ashtray outside every room and go non-smoking. Put umbrellas on the tables at the pool.

Cozy Spot

I have stayed there several times before over the years. It’s a sweet place! It’s only a 2 minute walk to the beach which is the best perk! I wish they would fix the neon sign with the name, rabbits and top hat. It’s been mostly out in recent years. Unfortunately, next door they’re building one of those gentrified communities next door. I’m an astrology/astronomy geek and my sole purpose was to see Venus, Jupiter, Sirius, Mercury and the Sun rise (between 4and 7am). Unfortunately, it was pouring with thunder and lightning. When it stopped raining it was totally overcast and some lightning.

Definitely a good budget place to stay. Was clean and overall a safe place to stay and very convenient to downtown St. Augustine. Property could still use a little more updates, but it was very clean.

We didn't have any plates forks knives. The patio had a full ashtray and dirty table.The bed was comfortable though. The parking was hard to find.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It was a last minute decision and we were able to get our room super quick. It’s an older motel however it was comfortable and convenient for us. We will be returning!
