Not bad for the price. Older motel. 2 bedroom is divided by a shower curtain so not much privacy. Close to beach and Publix.

This hotel was anything but what the pictures show. Room was supposed to be non smoking but reeked of smoke. We had a 1/2 roll of toilet paper. The bed was the only comfortable part of this hotel room.carpet was filthy the bathroom was falling apart as was the kitchnet. As for the people coming on a daily basis to clean the room and replace towels with clean ones and make the bed with fresh linens well in 3 days it never happened. The parking was inadequate also. If you like and old hotel this is really it but as for everything elas it was a dump! Stay away from a stay here you will be highly disappointed and probably grossed out!.

It was very refreshing cozy little motel meet lot of great expectations for me and my husband better than most of these name brands hotels it had a little kitchentte an a big enough room nice bathroom was on the older side but clean an spacious quiet an very very close to the beach loved it there will definitely go back marsha at the front desk when me and my husband checked in she was so helpful an welcoming an to top it off it was our anniversary an amazingly the next day we went out an came back we saw a card on our door says happy anniversary it was so sweet thanks Marsha an magic hotel see u soon

I booked this place based on the room photos, which showed really cool, quirky murals in the rooms. There were no murals in our room, and I’m not sure if they are in any room, so don’t count on it. Otherwise, it was a nice spot. It’s an older Motel with the original outside decor and signage still intact. It’s also super close to the beach, though our room had no view whatsoever.

Need a place to stay for an overnight in St. Augustine. The Magic Beach Hotel fit the bill. Its classic vibe was cute and gave us exactly what we needed. The kitchenette area allowed us to prepare what we needed and the access to the island as well as St Augustine was very convenient! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. It was perfect for our family and just a few steps to the beach makes it a wonderful location. While it may not have all the upgraded amenities that your upscale hotels offer, the nostalgia of this place was what we enjoyed for the price during Spring Break. Our family doesn't need fancy to have a great time. It was perfect. It had a kitchenette, bathroom and 2 bedrooms with plenty of space to relax. We hope we are able to stay here again.

At first arrival the room seemed "clean" - hard to say as it is so worn down. We spent the evening out and upon returning I was getting ready for bed. when I pulled the bedspread off the bed - the blanket was covered in long black hair on both sides. There were several strands on both sides. It was 10:30 PM so I just rolled up the blanket and took it to the front desk. I complained to the woman at the desk (ironically with long black hair). She said, "And you want what?". That's correct. No apology. No offer to have the bed remade. Nothing. I said a "clean blanket to start". She looked surprised and I was put off - overly probably because I was tired. So I added, "and to talk to someone about some kind of reimbursement". She radioed someone and brought me a blanket. I couldn't hear what was said, but she said to me, "You can talk to someone at checkout." Well, we checked out at 6:30 am and it was the same woman. We like quirky places to stay - but clean is a necessity. There were holes in the curtain, the rooms were very small and the lights were so bright. Not restful or relaxing. The rooms are non-smoking but there are ashtrays on all the tables outside the rooms so people are smoking right outside your door. I wouldn't call in a no-smoking property. The team at check-in was very nice and the motel is steps from the beach.

Checked in with Ashley and she was the best let us borrow her personal chairs to view the sunset because the stores were closing very awesome everything at the hotel was as expected.

Positives: location to the beach is excellent; room decor is nicely done; front office staff was nice; they did clean the room Challenges: room smelled strongly of bleach; the insulation was older so not as strong and the floor felt damp, probably due to humidity; the towels were rough and fairly thin, and we only had 1 bath towel but didn’t realize it until after we were back from a concert later at night; parking is tight but that’s to be expected in the St. Augustine area.
