We booked the Ambrose last minute after our AC stopped working during an insanely hot day, and overall we had a good stay. The room was comfortable, the patio was spacious, and we enjoyed the lobby happy hour. The AC was pretty noisy and difficult to regulate, but honestly we were just grateful to have AC that night. The bigger issue was in the bathroom. A piece of the towel cabinet suddenly fell off and landed on my foot. When I looked at it afterward, it appeared the panel had literally been held together with tape. Thankfully I was okay, but we were staying with our toddler and it was concerning to think about what could have happened if it had fallen on her. I told the front desk right away, and their response was disappointing. There was no apology or concern, just essentially, “Thanks for letting us know, we’ll have someone fix it for the next guest.” A simple “I’m sorry, are you okay?” would have gone a long way. We otherwise enjoyed the hotel, but I hope they take maintenance and guest safety concerns more seriously.

Great property, but overpriced for a sleepless night The Good: - Cleanliness was top-notch. - Staff was friendly and accommodating. - Great location and excellent overall condition of the property. The Bad: - Noisy AC: Cycled on and off loudly all night. (without AC the room would have been too warm for a good sleep) - Thin walls: Heard every word of our neighbors' conversation in the early morning. Summary: We were only there from 9:00 PM to 8:30 AM and didn't use any amenities—we literally just paid for a night of sleep and didn't get it. For a quick, sleep-only stay, it was much too expensive for the lack of comfort

The room was adequate but nothing special. There was some long dark hair on the bathroom floor when we arrived. I like the fact that the windows open so fresh air can be enjoyed in the room. For the price, I feel like there should have been some additional more upscale amenities, such as Nespresso or similar coffee in the room or at the very least in the lobby. I also feel a refillable water bottle (i.e. PATH) would have been nice. The available bicycles are great, but since we visited to specifically attend an even we didn't have time to use them. The staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful.
