Highly recommend this hotel for several reasons. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Location- minutes from the train station (exit at platform 4). Easy access to the beautiful Lugano using the cable car which is every 3 minutes and takes less than one minute. Area around the hotel. Room was comfortable and very well decorated. The hotel has many pieces of art work which are a joy to look at. Some quirky things look at. The hotel website has a picture of breakfast - this is exactly how it was presented. Another work of art for eyes (and stomachs) to feast upon. Coffee made to order. You can help yourself to water and make a coffee anytime of the day. Rated as 3 star but should be higher.

The hotel is very basic. Throughout our 2 night stay we didn't meet a single member of staff. We weren't prepared for the online check in or the self check out at all - since the instructions said that the hotel has staff at the front desk until 6pm and we arrived at 5.30pm. Their self check is unnecessarily complicated as well as their key free rooms. Breakfast is expensive at 25 CHF per person per night for what it is - and hence we opted for no breakfast. It is ok - but it feels very basic and doesn't give you the feeling of being on vacation.

The place is conveniently located near the train station as well as the funicular to go to the lake promenade. They are between 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel respectively. Daniel was very prompt in responding with whatever we need figured out in the room besides being nice and helpful. Thank you, Daniel; you made our stay wonderful!

The hotel is conpletely renovated, very modern interieur. The short walk from the trainstation (5 min) was very conveniant for us arriving with the train with lugguage. The city centre was easy to reach taking the funicular from the train station. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The free water (also sparling) was absolutely great. Great customer service, we would always go there again when going to Lugano!

E' un hotel molto semplice e senza pretese, comunque è pulito e possiede tutti i servizi basilari. non ha parcheggio e in zona, vista la vicina stazione, è difficile trovare.. ho dovuto ricorrere ad un parcheggio a pagamento, 10 franchi al giorno..

Absolutely not worth the price for a family of 3

It is not a hotel, rather a small and old apartment. The rooms are so small that, a family of three can hardly move within. The bathroom is so small that you are reminded of toilet is an aeroplane. We paid over $250 for one night, which is absolutely not worth it. In the US, I would pay $60-$80 for such a room. However, the staff was courteous, and the hotel is extremely close to the train station.

Not What We Expected

Whilst there is a bus stop right at the front of the hotel. It is isolated if you do not have a car. The shop referred to is a hike up hill and not open all the time. The linen was worn out the towels so thin and small you could not dry yourself. The blanket had holes in it. The breakfast was ok but evening meals warmed up in microwave not freshly cooked.
