The room was very clean, good shower, unfortunately it didn’t have a refrigerator, there was one small refrigerator outside for the entire floor. Good hotel for one or two nights in Cologne. Just steps from the historic center, the most beautiful part of the old city. The service from the staff was excellent. It is true that the rooms are a little dated but they are clean and comfortable. Less than a five minute walk away I was able to see one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.

The hotel room was very tired and in need of a revamp. It was also very small. The old wooden panelling makes the room feel dirty when it wasn’t. There is plenty of hot water, toiletries and the room is cleaned each day. The area is extremely safe with shops, bars, restaurants, the port and bus station all within walking distance. The river front is also very near. Breakfast - most of the items were very sweet, although there were some ordinary bread rolls. The fruit looked bruised. Eggs can be purchased at an extra cost. You don’t need more than two days to explore Colonia.

The property conditions are worse than the best motels in USA..Old dingy rooms with carpet, outdated and broken furniture, dirty sheets, a terrible smell, extremely thin walls, rough scratchy towels. I wanted to leave the minute I smelled the lobby. The hallways look like they are from a horror movie. The breakfast is not good. I am usually not picky but I couldn't believe the quality of this property. The staff are not very welcoming but they are quick and polite. Check out was easy. The location is superb, right in the heart of Colonia. They do have very hot shower water and one functioning elevator.
