Hotel Berkeley was a pretty decent stay and delivered exactly what we expected for the price. Our room was comfortably sized, with a large window that almost felt like a little balcony—great for letting in natural light and fresh air. The bathroom was also spacious enough, which we appreciated. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone—from the front desk to the housekeeping team—was genuinely friendly and helpful. The staff could not have been friendlier during our stay. We only used the hotel as a base, it was good for this purpose, as next door to the Metro. The room was clean, the bathroom and shower were fine, and there was plenty of hot water. The decor is a little tired and dated, but it had no impact on our stay. The area is brilliant, plenty of bars and restaurants close by, which felt like true Paris rather than touristy, very Bohemian. We would definitely stay again.

This hotel is perfect if you’re on a budget in your trip! The hotel room had the basic necessities, quite out dated and some signs of wear, but didn’t affect our stay. The hotel has a small lift which doesn’t fit much, and if you are on the 6th floor you have to walk up the last flight of stairs. The location was amazing and the metro and bus links were 3 min walk. Behind the hotel there was loads of nice restaurants and a nice shopping mall with a supermarket downstairs (MonoPrix). It was also 20 mins metro from Gare Du Nord. The fees for public transport were amazing at €2 for bus and €2.50 for metro, and these journeys travelled far. Would recommend this hotel as the staff were friendly and it was located very well.

Pro: location! Con: price is too high for this 3 *** hotel No hot water the two days we stayed here. Variable temp in aircon. Clogged drain in shower resulted flooded bathroom floor. No late checkout. Breakfast..... not impressive.

The hotel is 3-star rated. However, our room's shower head holder was broken. Also, our bed has seen better days and needs to be replaced. There was barely enough room around the bed, not surprising for Paris hotels. It is, however, a very convenient hotel as it is close to the train station and near restaurants are plentiful.

Perfect if you're not spending much time there

Perfect for an Olympic weekend in Paris. Our room was small, clean, and comfortable. Not luxury at all, but then again, we spent exactly 16 hours there over three days. Neighborhood was awesome. Great cafes and restaurants near by. Right near the Metro. Bed was squishy. Front desk originally had us in a double, even though I booked a room with two twins. They insisted that was what I booked when I challenged them on it. But then double checked and fixed the problem.
