Disappointed experience

I have over 30 years of travel experience across different countries and have never encountered a hotel as terrible as this one! The pillows at this hotel are extremely soft, and even though we were provided with four pillows for the two of us, they were so soft that we couldn't sleep well. The room was very cold, and despite setting the temperature higher, it still blew cold air. Eventually, we turned off the air conditioning, but it still felt very cold (the temperature that night was 7 degrees Celsius). Sleeping on the third floor, I couldn't sleep well, so I went downstairs to seek assistance from the staff. I requested additional or replacement pillows and blankets, but the staff member rudely told me that all the pillows were the same, and if we wanted extra pillows and blankets, it would cost £20. I felt very frustrated and disappointed at that moment! I have never encountered a hotel that charges for additional pillows and blankets! Then I asked the staff what could be done about the cold weather and if there was any heating. The staff rudely replied that adjusting the air conditioning temperature was the only option. Oh my God! Although this hotel is conveniently located near the city center, has free parking, and the rooms are large, the rude staff and the extra charges for pillows and blankets are extremely disappointing and infuriating! I would rather pay more to stay somewhere else and never return to this hotel again!

由火車站行去酒店約需15分鐘，但該段路是斜路，携帶行李十分不便。 我們共４人住了兩晚（兩２個房間），房間空間足夠，但花灑之水嚨頭不好開 (太緊). 還有第一晚在沐浴完後，浴簾連該支架突然跌下。另一個房間則在第二晚，門卡突然失靈！

Handy place to stay for Away Fans

Had a comfortable nights stay. The room was okay considering the price was reasonable. The breakfast bag was very nice. Very easy access and 20 minute walk to St James Park. Quiet hotel.

The room had torn catpets, dirty bed frame. Uncomfortable lumpy mattress and foisty bedding. The shower had mould around the glass. For the price i expected more, i should have gone travel lodge

The bonus was the free parking facility. It was a good location too so we got into town easily. The rooms were comfy and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

A word of caution...

Rooms Inn was a nice, cheap hotel. The beds were comfy, the shower was flat out brilliant, and the price was hard to argue with compared to the rest of the city. One word of warning to travellers, check in seperately. I had been at a rugby tournament and some other players were also staying at the hotel. Because we arrived simultaneously (despite booking totally seperately and being totally seperate parties), the receptionist would not let us check in without paying £20 per person as a deposit. Against what, I'm not sure, as the rooms weren't inspected before we got it back, so it just seemed like a totally pointless formality; but the problem was is they insisted on cash. So here we were, very tired from playing rugby all day, being forced to go find a cash machine for this ridiculous rule which was not advertised and did nothing to protect the hotel. The receptionist was very polite and empathic, but regrettalby still forced us to go on a cash hunt before we could check in. The reception area smelled pretty badly of weed too, but what can you do.

Not so impressed.

Have stayed here before however this time I’m not as impressed. The room was so very hot. The bed was very uncomfortable so I didn’t sleep well at all. The net curtain in the room is ripped. The toilet seat didn’t stay up without being held. There was dark mould around the bottom of the shower screen. And the extraction fan in the bathroom didn’t work. The staff were lovely and very friendly.

Bad experience

The stay was horrible. There was shouting and banging on the doors till early hours in the morning. It ended with 2 police cars showing up early in morning and someone getting arrested. Didnt sleep a wink!! Room reasonable clean. Shower horrible. Reception at checing in and out were friendly, but night porter very unfriendly, miserable and rude. Will not recomeend staying here to anyone
