Had a very great stay, beds were very comfy and clean, the breakfast we really good too and the hotel being directly downtown was great!

10/10 Exceptional

Perfect location and great value for the money, especially with a good breakfast included (breakfasts, like everything else in Reykjavik, are very expensive). Basic accomodations but everything clean and in working order. With many hotels going to self check-in with no staff (and nightmares trying to resolve even the smallest problems), it was good to have actual people to help.

8/10 Very good

Good location. Room is clean. Breakfast is good with choices. We had stayed in several guest houses during the trip and Aurora guest house is the only one serves breakfast, which is a big plus. It's convenient to have a small sink in the room. However, the sewage odor came out when water was running into it. Not that bad, tolerable. Also, the single room I was in had some odor like from renovation material. Need to keep door open once in a while, but it's tolerable.

Shared bathroom was a little smelly but okay. Bed and pillows were comfortable and breakfast was good. Parking was NOT free so description is misleading. You had to find street parking in P1, P2 or P3 areas. Only P3 was free in weekends.

I was allowed to check in two hours early and after a red eye trans Atlantic flight it was a welcome gesture. Room and shared bathroom was clean but the room was very spartan. Mattress was a little soft but did the job after a long flight. Location was central to downtown Reykjavík sights and within walking distance to downtown Reykjavik airport for domestic flights.

Room was clean. Very convenient location. Shared bath for each floor. Breakfast decent. We parked on the weekend so parking on street was free. Very good location.

That was a great stay for the night. The free breakfast was a huge perk and the room was comfortable. We got lucky with our timing to get free street parking for the night, but the free parking on site that we relied on wasn’t available. This didn’t impact our stay, but just a heads up!
