I’ve never written a hotel review before, but this experience left me no choice. As a well-traveled guest from Sweden, I’ve never felt so deceived. My friend and I carefully chose this hotel based on its photos and descriptions of a beachfront location with included umbrellas, beach towels, and chairs.
Upon arrival, we were shocked to learn our room was in a separate, rundown motel-style building across the street, next to a parking lot. Instead of a beachfront stay, we were stuck behind a noisy indoor pool in a room that reeked of chlorine and had black mold in the bathroom. Appliances were rusty and dirty; the kitchen sink and oven still had old food in them. The entire space felt neglected and unhealthy.
There were no included beach amenities. We were told to pay $40/day for chairs and umbrellas because they aren’t hotel-owned, despite being advertised multiple times as part of the stay. Even the beach vendor said he has to explain this “all the time” because the hotel continues to mislead guests.
Management offered no help, blamed us for “booking the wrong room,” and claimed the hotel was fully booked—though vacant rooms available online and clearly visible adjacent to ours. There are no pictures with clear description of the two-story annex across the street in the booking process.
No accountability. No transparency. A complete bait and switch. If I could give negative stars, I would. Avoid this place at all costs.
