No more Red Roof for me

Dirty, killed 2 spiders 1 with the manager there, cobwebs on the cieling , dirty comforter, manager brought back a new one, would rack falling off the wall, lamp shade splattered with dried pop .no washclothes untill asked for, bathroom door scratched up (bad) from someones pet, paint flaking..etc.etc.

Impeccably clean room. Comfortable enough bed and good variety of pillows. Heating unit was super quiet. However, once I stepped outside of the room I was quickly reminded of why I paid so little. Second floor walkway needs a serious re-do; and grounds were dirty and unkept.

No one at the front desk for almost 45 minutes when we arrived. Multiple people trying to check-in & called a phone number from a sign on the counter. Someone finally showed up & made excuses. Didn't explain the $100 "hold" on cc. Room was dirty. Uncomfortable beds. Towels smelled.

Informed the front desk just after check in that the toilet was broken. Had to reach into the toilet to flush each time. Nothing was done to fix the problem. Contacted the front desk at checkout to receive some sort of compensation for the in convenience, was told that i would be contacted by management by close of business Monday ,October 6 2025. Still no contact. I have call multiple times with no answer the phone.

White Shower curtain was brown/yellow at the bottom 😳 Hair in the shower. Numerous flies…and this was October, which likely means the room hadn’t been used/aired out for a while. No shampoo provided. Room in disrepair.

I booked and prepaid more than three months in advance for an accessible deluxe room with two queen beds and a roll-in shower. I arrived around 11 p.m. only to be told that no such room was available. Instead, I was offered a room upstairs in a building without an elevator — completely inaccessible — and when I asked for alternatives, the manager refused both a refund and a walk to another hotel with an accessible room. As a reasonable guest, I expected to receive the room I paid for, especially one with accessibility features. Instead, the hotel had clearly given it away and then left me without proper accommodation. Even after explaining my situation, they refused to provide the accessible room I reserved, refused to arrange one elsewhere, and refused to refund me for a service I never received. This is not just poor customer service, it’s also a violation of consumer rights and accessibility requirements. Guests should be aware that this hotel may overbook and mishandle reservations, even when accessibility is essential. Very disappointing experience.

My husband and I payed for two nights and only stayed one! When we walked into the room it was dingy, there were flies and dead pugs in the window. The door didnt seem to shut tightly and as the rain started water came right under the door. When we called asking for a new room, with a door that shut fully, they just offered towels to put down. The trash cans all around the inn were overflowing and cigarettebutts were all over the parcking lot. Over all it was dirty and run down. We dont recommend the stay, even for the money saved.

Staffing issues

When we arrived at 8:30pm for check in, the staff informed us that we wouldn’t be able to get into the room for 2 hours. We had our two small children with us and were given no notice and no other option. We did get a refund, but they seem understaffed and everything was in rough shape to begin with.

Not happy with our overnight stay

Check in is 3pm, we came around 5pm. The key card did not work. My husband went back to office. An employee came to open the door. It would not open. She had to got back to the office. I went back to our car until I saw the room door open. Me and my pups went into the room. The employee was changing the bed, sheets and all. She said there were spots on the bedspread. I asked why the room wasn't checked before we arrived at 5pm.We asked her how to set the AC. She didn't understand what we were asking about. She said she would talk to her manager and get back to us. She never got back to us. Later that evening we found a remote that is used to set the temperature. The smoke detector was removed from the ceiling. Only the base was left on the ceiling. There was PILES of garbage in several areas of the motel. And garbage thrown on the sidewalk by the room. We have stayed a SUPER 8 numerous times. This was the worst one.
