It was worth it for the price I paid

Not the prettiest hotel in the world and this spot where it's located is a decent spot but it's kind of old and not up to date. But it was clean smelled like bleach which was a plus and it served my purpose. I have

The staff is absolutely amazing! They have been nothing but pleasant and accommodating every time i stay here. Parking can be a bit tight sometimes. For myself, this has been the most affordable place on short notice.

This isn’t a luxury hotel. But considering what it is, it was nice. Very accepting of my dog. Nice people, they are willing to work with you. We enjoyed it

Beware! All the photos are set up to hide how scary this place is. It’s in a bad part of town and all the other patrons live there and are very scary. They were talking about my husband when they didn’t know I could hear and were looking in our car windows and circling it. Could hear people rattling the fence behind our unit as well. We did not stay the night for our safety. Should have known when the office was locked with bars and had pit bull on chains. Even if we had stayed there was pee in the toilet and a shocking amount of food in the floor. Tried to talk to Expedia about it and they didn’t care. Also called the motel several times and they won’t call us back. Which is not surprising as the front desk woman told us “don’t worry it’s not as dangerous as it looks, just don’t leave your room!”

The staff was very welcoming, respectful and well mannered. You don't see that much anymore these days. What I didn't like was Expedia being the third party is going to hold my deposit for as long as 3 to 7 Business Days before getting it back. Other then that everything else was Great. Thank you all.

This property was unsafe. The door had been broken into. A dirty spoon was in the duct tape freezer. A refund was refused we werent even there an hour and had people circling out car. They refused a refund
Lindsay, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

I didn’t stay there due to the horrendous, cigarette smoke and poor customer service and treatment. I was told I would only be refunded for one day, but have yet to be refunded. Anything at all do not stay there at all. There are better affordable accommodations elsewhere, plus I think the property is running a scam where they want to charge you $250 for cigarette smoke but yet the whole property already smells like smoke so how are they able to even decipher that seems like a scam to me!
Patricia, 2-night trip

Dirty, smelly, doesn’t feel safe.

The pictures do not remotely represent the actual property. I thought it looked cute and retro, but it is run down and dirty. It’s supposed to be nonsmoking (with signs about being fined) but our room reeked of smoke. We ended up sleeping in our clothes because we didn’t trust the sheets to be clean, the blanket was stained and dirty (as shown in the picture). I will give them credit that the bathroom was clean at least. We honestly would not have stayed there once we saw it, but it was late when we got in and we had to be up early and didn’t have the energy to find a new place or try to fight them for a refund. For the life of me I don’t understand how it has as high of a rating as it does. Finally, people were walking past our room and the area didn’t feel safe. Not really their fault but something to consider. We have stayed at cheap motels all of the country now, so it isn’t like we had 4 star expectations, and this is the first bad review I’ve ever left. There must be better options in Colorado Springs.

Not just a motel, a motel experience

I kinda loved this place, and will stay here again if I come back for another live music show. It's this sweet, unique little spot with loads of character on a seedy stretch of Platte lined with more questionable lodging. I had half of a mini-duplex in the back, through a well-kept little patio flower garden. Both sides had pointed roofs, and mine had stars and planets painted on the inside--overhead, above the ceiling fan if you're lying in bed. I *will* warn you that the old-smoke smell in (some of?) the room(s) might bother people (my room is definitely nonsmoking now, but may not have been years ago). It just reminded me of the smell of the motels you might have stayed in in the 70s when there was a lot of indoor smoking...except those places were generic and forgettable. Also, my neighbors were a bit noisy and woke me up at 5am. The walls are not very thick. Nevertheless, if you like to have a motel *experience* and not just a motel, I'd recommend giving it a try. The price can't be beat, the staff are nice folks, and it's nice sleeping under the stars.

2/10 Poor

In my review I would like to mephasize that I thought that the desk manager was very kind and friendly. If she was the one who cleaned my room she did a very good job. Still, one can only do so much with a room that requires attention. The room needed the blinds to be replaced because they did not totally block the outside view. The kitchen, although having a two burner hotplate, a toaster, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a small refrigerator that had a frost buildup, it had no utensils, pots or pans, plates, dishwashing supplies, etc. There were other tenants at the motel but I may have been the only temporary one there. The people there were often noisy and vocal at all times of the morning and night. A few times at odd hours of the morning or night I heard heated arguments that led me to expect violence. One of the nights I heard a single gunshot but it was distant from the motel. I am familiar with guns. There was a person that rode a loud motorcycle that on a few nights had loudly come and gone every 20 minutes beginning around 7 p.m. until around 9 p.m. Then there would be a lull until around 2 a.m. at which time the interval became every 5 minutes until aroun 4 a.m. I am not unfamiliar whit the goings on of street drug dealing. I grew up with exposure to it while growing up and this behavior going on around me indicated tenants involved with both dealing and usage. In the surrounding area there are homeless/ indigent people. They sometimes hang out at bus
