Nice place and location

The location of the hotel was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful The room was very clean and well decorated The king bed was very hard and pillows were too thin The shower was small and took some time to adjust the water temp Even with these deficiencies I would stay here again

Superior! Beautiful community & surroundings. The room was delightfully furnished with rustic mountain decor. But I’m burying the lede. The staff was friendly and informative. The room was comfortable, blessedly quiet, and immaculately clean. I’ve stayed at hotels at twice the price with fewer amenities and not nearly so spotlessly clean. And the staff recommendation for breakfast across the street was the cherry on top. Delicious! I’d stay at the Sequoia Lodge again in a heartbeat.

Clean and comfortable in a very pleasant setting. Full size coffee maker a plus! Complimentary microwave popcorn too. Nice general store with deli across the street. I'll be back if I'm traveling through again

Great Place To Stay

Sequoia Lodge is a great place to relax along the Kern River. The manager on site (Steve) was great and very helpful. The patio deck overlooking the river is awesome Definitely going to book this place again !. Also, it does not hurt to have the Kernville store across the street, never went into town once for food, drinks, etc.

Love the location. The motel was quite dated and worn. Couldnt even sit straight on the toilet as the shower door was so close. Shower head shot needles into my body! I mean, come on! How much does a decent, modern shower head cost? Very comfy bed! Door knob to the entrance of our room fell off at one point after entering. I am a retired handyman and noticed tons of little things that could be improved on for not much money. Not sure if the owners are hands on or not, but the place has been neglected for far too long!

You have done a good job preserving this property. I am an ex owner of a very old resort and as such i must comment on the cheapest towels and linens you supply. Why not offer the customer a choice. Pay for usable or go for cheapest. You will be suprisedat what they will choose.
