I love this place amazing views and fun activities. I am afraid they are a bit understaffed so not everything is running smoothly. They do really really want to do a good job. Love the location so many things to do on the north fork. The Old Mill Inn is a must food is amazing and the setting beautiful plus all the food on property is very good. get a good rate and enjoy!

The hotel was lovely and right on the Long Island Sound. The view was great. The room was comfortable. For the price you will pay per night, there should have been more added touches. They should provide robes and extra towels, etc. Upon check in, no one greeted us warmly or assisted in telling us where our room was. And there was not enough parking for our car. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent. All in all, it was a nice stay, but not worth the high cost.

My family and I recently stayed at the Sound View Hotel and had a wonderful experience all thanks to their front desk staffer named Adrianne. While our trip was off to a rough start regarding the initial room we were assigned, the moment I voiced my complaints to Adrianne she stepped in and went above and beyond to ensure we were more than happy with our room, and our overall stay at the hotel. If you want a wonderful getaway in Greenport, look no further!...Adrianne, thank you again for all that you did to make our trip so special. We are so grateful!

This hotel is priced for demand, and the fact it is directly on the water. There are also three places to order food (restaurant, piano bar, pool shack) but the menu is basically the same across all. We did not feel this was a good value for the price, as the rooms and hotel in general are a bit run-down. Again, you are paying to be in Greenport, directly on the water. There is also a pool, which we were unable to use because the weather was less than ideal, but we did see the lounge chairs at the pool and were surprised by how old they were. The staff was kind and helpful, but I do not believe we will be returning, given the large price tag and quality of the experience.

Great location right on The Sound. Modern upgrades since our last visit. Room was clean. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Did not go to dinner at the restaurant or visit any bars, but they were crowded. Was able to hear the live music from the beach front bar all the way to our room (not complaining). Pool was nice and well maintained. Maybe a couple of improvements...get door matts for the beach side of your room as sand will get into your room, and place chairs on the south side outside of the room as the beach side does get hot and sunny when the sun is out.

The check-in staff were friendly and helpful, finding us a different room when ours wasn’t available. The breakfast was significantly better than a simple continental, offering a variety of items. It is a sprawling complex on the LI sound, with nice views from our room and the dining areas. The restaurant, although a bit pricey, had great service, wonderful views, and excellent quality.

Outdated hotel! While the view was beautiful, our room had an old, torn throw rug and wooden panel walls. Outdoor table and chairs are worn and wooden with not enough set ups either on beach or pool. Went during a heat wave and restaurant's AC was not working well so ate in 84 degrees. Even the toasters in the morning did not work. The staff was quick to respond to requests but the hotel itself needs a revamping especially for the price paid.

We love the Sound View. As a school social worker, I sometimes REALLY need to reset. There is no better place to do it than here with the most amazing views! We have been coming 3x a year with our pup. Great staff and restaurant! The hotel really tries to accommodate requests, such as a certain room number our dog has gotten used to lol. 10/10 recommend!
