The location is just one reason why I stay at the Colton...next to the National Cemetery onnthe edge of town. The Manager and her Staff are so friendly and attentive to any need. Parking by my room is especially useful. The new Steinwehr Diner located right next door is an extra bonus...walk out of my room, straight to breakfast, lunch or dinner...good home cooking.

Good trip, older motel, but it’s in a great location. Easily walkable to plenty of Gettysburg attractions. Motel was clean, and the staff was very nice. Easy check in/out.

This place is no-frills for sure, but it does offer the best stay for the price. The room provided everything we needed. The bathroom appeared to be recently renovated with a really good shower. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is ideal.

This is a vintage motel with unparalleled location next to the Gettysburg National Military Cemetery and National Park battlefields. The property has been recently refurbished. The room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioner/heat worked fine. The new, adjacent Steinwehr Diner is a plus for full meals...no need to hunt for parking. Other eateries are within walking distance. I prefer this older motel to the more modern multi-level hotels with higher rates.

the bathroom was remodeled since the last time i stayed in that room/ Furniture was a little wore out and there could have been an extra lamp in the room. I just move the one in the room to the computer desk to make it work. Other than that you cant beat the price for this stay.

We did not get to stay at the Colton. Due to a plumbing issue they sent us to another budget motel across the way. They were not friendly. The room was extremely dirty. The whole experience was a nightmare. I should have been able to cancel and receive a refund for not getting my booking and been able to go somewhere else! It was an awful experience all around

The Colton is fine for the price. It is conveniently located near the battlefield. It is older, it lacks some amenities, and it could use some upkeep. New bath towels would help. We did find long hairs that did not belong to us in multiple places. It is a no-nonsense place to lay your head.
The staff was great. Very helpful and very friendly.
