Overpaid for disappointment

I was terribly disappointed with our cottage. It was dingy and damaged.The worse part was the roach that was on the kitchen. The glass shoer door was broken and eaternwould run out into the bathroom floor. For the money that I paid, it was a hung let down. I could have paid so much less and stayed some where cleaner and nicer. Hilton has never let me down until this stay.

Great… but

This place would have been 5 stars but the ac in our unit didn’t work. For us this is a huge inconvenience as even at home we like it 68 when we sleep. It was above 75 in our room, and we found out other units had broken ac. Everything else was fantastic, and really wanted to give them 5 stars.

This hotel has a terrible bug problem. We were met on the first day of check-in at this property by a lovely pile of about 40-50 dead bees on the ground, across the room, on tables, the couch, coasters, etc - housekeeping was then called (Which on that phone call we were explicitly told the room had been TREATED for bees - so this was a known issue to staff) and they were vacuumed up. Next day, another 20 or so bees are piled up and now there’s live ones too. We call front desk again - representative says they will move us to a different cabin. Asked for the property manager - told they did not work weekends. Asked for the day manager - told they would not be in until the afternoon. How does a property, nonetheless one run by Hilton - a major corporation - in a major tourist destination not have any actual managers on duty?!? We’re then connected with the room coordinator who offers a refund for the prior night and to waive the resort fee (Which as of now is still charged to my card..). Sure. Just want to get back out to having a vacation. We move everything into our new room. This one was at least a little nicer. Not for long though. Guess what? Dead ladybugs everywhere. Seems each different townhome has a different species. At least these ones didn’t bite - although multiple of them were very much alive. We only had two more nights on our stay and were planning on being outside both days so we just gave up and killed any live ones. Moral of the story - this place blows.

Family of 5, comfortable stay

The property is sprawling but there's signs to make sure you're in the right place. Everyone who works there is kind and helpful. We enjoyed the room so much we didn't want to leave and extended our stay. We come to pigeon forge at least once a quarter, we'll be staying at Sunrise Ridge from now on.

Loved our room, we got the suite with two rooms, kitchen and fireplace. Had a lovely view of the smokies, fire was a nice way to start and end the day. Kitchen came complete with everything you need, dishes, cups, pans, etc. My understanding is the building is a little older and has been renovated, a few signs of wear-and-tear on the carpets but very clean and overall really nice interior. Pillows and bed were perfect, nice thick towels in the bathroom. Staff very attentive. Really enjoyed the stay!!
