Great little getaway

Its an older hotel abut we enjoyed it. . Staff are great, our room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Would definitely go again. Also we were happy to go to the pub...good beer and friendly people there too

Second visit

So, this is the second time I have stayed there, whilst visiting my sister. Let me start by saying that the rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need, and housekeepig look after them very well. The only problem I would say is how dark they are inside - and also because I had been in the 'back' rooms last time I had asked for the front rooms but she put me at the back again. Another good thing is that this time, they provided breakfast - which was welcomed, even though I felt it wasn't very sustainable having everything wrapped in small packets, and having papers plates, bowls and wooden cutlery. It is more sustainable to use pottery and metal and wash it. My one gripe about the Howe Sound is the reception one gets - or does not. Apart from one female member of staff downstairs, noone seems to care whether you come or go, or appreciate the fact that you are a customer. You just pay your money, get you key and come and go. I know it isn't the main part of the business, but I don't understand the lack of interest.The first time I visited, there was a flood and we had to move to another hotel. Noone ever said or wrote sorry, or compensated for the inconvenience, we were just told to go to another hotel, and noone bothered taking anyone there. That is a lasting memory in my head, and I had hoped there would be a change this time and reception staff would at least engage with their customers from 'upstairs'. There's one more problem but no space here to write it!

Nice stay in Squamish

Check in was interesting, front desk did not know check out time so I double checked with hotels.com app. Room was small and perfect, and had an excellent view of the chief. Unfortunately the walls were paper thin and we could hear our neighbours conversations. I was expecting the breakfast to have more options but it was just bread, fruit cups and cereal. Still an alright breakfast was just expecting more. Not a lot of options if you are gluten-free. A nice plus: you get 10% off at the brewery for staying here :)

Fantastic room

Excellent room with a stunning view, and amazingly quiet for being attached to a pub. There are a few things they should do to modernize more- add in USB charging ports, refinish some older furniture, and I think they could maybe do better with breakfast. But I will definitely stay there again.
