Surfrider

The hotel is about to close for demolition and rebuild. No restaurant but not mentioned when i was booking on website. It has comfortable beds, and plenty of personal grooming shampoos etc, and coffee. The views are fabulous being right on the ocean. The pool had mold growing in it, stairs are steep to rooms.

Sorry to see you go!

We had an ocean view room and wished we had direct access to the grass below for our puppy dogs. We enjoyed our stay, the staff was excellent. We were disappointed that the restaurant and hot tub were closed and that the whole facility is being torn down. We will stay here again after the rebuild is completed.

Nice and clean

It was nice and they were open about renovations happening. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable but the views were amazing. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. They even accommodated me when I asked for an extra night. Very pleased!

Favorite location

We've been staying here for years. I always request an upper floor because the balcony views feel like you're on a cruise ship. And unfortunately that's what's about to change : ( They say the property is shutting down & will be rebuilt further back from the pounding Pacific. However they are still allowing online bookings for the upcoming summer season, in spite of reports saying they're closing April 1st. Even the employees I've asked don't truly know when/if they're closing. I love the place in spite of it's 2-star accomodations. Maybe it's 3-star? I love it because of the secluded location between 2 state parks. And it's a quick drive to Depoe Bay, Salishan or Taft. You can walk to a little grocery & there's a terrific family friendly pub nearby. My personal hotel favorite is the pool & old-fashioned sauna. I truly hope when they rebuild that they retain the affordable Oregon vibe, and don't mistakenly try for the high end 1%.

Didn't get the room I ordered. No phone, tissues, or anywhefe to put luggage or toiletries in the shower or around sink, Gap under door. Nice tv though with large selection of channels. And the jetted tub was nice for my wife.

This hotel is in the process of closing down and should not continue to book rooms. Amenities listed are not accurate, no hot tub, no restaurant, WIFI didn't work, my key cards kept de-activating, it sounded like there was active demolition going on above my room until 10pm and starting again at 7am. Totally unacceptable.

Not worth the price. A majority of the amenities were not even functional( wifi didn’t work, blow dryer missing, top of coffee maker gone, fridge didn’t keep things cold). The restaurant was permanently closed we found out once in site. As a whole the property needs some updating.
