Wonderful location inside the park, very convenient. The property looked updated and modern. Many food options and a general store within walking distance on the property as well.

We stayed in one of the older cabins, in the development which now includes several new large hotel-style buildings. The cabins have been well maintained and were perfect for our stay. The development includes a cafeteria-style restaurant which was mediocre. We chose to have our second breakfast and second dinner at the onsite General Store lunch counter, which provided very good food.

The Canyon Lodge is in a great location right inside the park. We split our stay 2 nights at the Old Faithful Inn and 2 nights at the Canyon lodge. It was a good way to explore multiple areas of the park in depth. The Canyon Lodge rooms were nice with comfortable beds. The nearby eatery was convenient and had lots of choices. I highly recommend staying there - it can’t be beat if you want to explore the areas nearby.

The room was clean, and the bathroom fixtures appeared to be updated, which was a nice touch. However, there was no Wi-Fi available on the third floor, which was inconvenient and made it difficult to stay connected. The hotel was acceptable for a short stay, but reliable Wi-Fi throughout the property would significantly improve the experience.

It was a comfortable place to stay. We were disappointed with the lack of cleanliness. I reported that the restroom was not clean. This was after waiting 2 1/2 hours past check in time because they were cleaning. Another person came and cleaned the restroom. We stayed a couple of nights and received service. Again they didn't clean, vacuum, or change bedding. They made the bed is all.

4/10 Fair

We arrived at 4, but our rooms (we had two) were still "being inspected" and we were forced to hang out until 5:30 to get into our rooms. We found the halls and elevator hadn't been cleaned or vacuumed, and the floors were quite dirty. Once we got into our rooms one of the bathrooms had not appeared to have been cleaned and I can't imagine that these rooms, or the common areas, had underwent anything like an inspection. Don't expect amenities (TV, AC, or even a working fan) if staying here, though it is nice to stay in the park. Out of the eight places we stayed on our road trip this was by far the least comfortable, the least clean, the least friendly service, and the most expensive.

8/10 Very good

You couldn’t ask for a better location! A massive food court and visitors center is walkable, plus a very cute espresso/breakfast shop is located in one of the lodges, making your caffeine fix even closer! Our only complaint (and it seemed HUGE at the time, traveling with 3 kids): no TV in the room. Also, WiFi was available but didn’t work, cell signal was very low. It made it hard to unwind after a long day of Yellowstone Park driving. We also really were sad there was no microwave in the room. :( It did have a refrigerator.
