Nothing close nearby-but we had a vehicle and it was a lovely spot with a lake and gazebo. We chose it for the fireplace. It had a DVD player in the room with DVDs and games available for borrowing from the front desk. This was an extra fun bonus.

I have never been ready to check out of a room by 7:03 am in my life, but couldn’t wait to leave. This place is in a beautiful location so it could have a lot of potential. However it is very outdated, the room smelled (presumably partially from mold which I found on the wall behind the bathroom door), the tv did not work (we didn’t discover this until after the office closed), and the shower was a claustrophobic nightmare. The walls must be paper thin as we could hear everything from the other units and were woken up at 5:00 am by other guests who have apparently never heard of using keys and kept going back and forth pounding on each others doors. Maybe the individual cabins or larger house are nicer, but we will not be back to find out. The only redeeming quality and why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 was the man working in the office was very nice.

The property is off the beaten path a little bit, which is very nice. Pets are welcome. Staff is very friendly. Recommended several places in town and things to do on our arrival. Continental breakfast is basic but nice quick bite. Pool was closed(Late Feb stay). In room wood fireplace and free firewood is awesome. Will return.

I cannot say enough good things about Le Fevre Inn. Not only was it quiet, quaint, and welcoming, the staff were amazing. The wood burning fire place was PERFECT for our stay, especially as the temps were below 0. The bed was comfortable and the huge jetted tub was fantastic. The view was incredible and i wish it had been warm enough outside to enjoy it more. Due to the intense cold, our vehicle wouldn't start when we went to check out. After helping us try to jump start it with no luck, Alfredo at the front desk drove my husband to the store to get a new battery and allowed me to stay in the room until they returned. Talk about service! We were so grateful for his kindness. We will absolutely come back and tell our friends and family about our great experience!

Nice room, loved that it was pet friendly and close to downtown Galena. Only thing I would ask is for better signage to find front office when arriving at night. Staff was super friendly. We went during winter but plan to go in the spring/summer. Favorite part- besides being pet friendly, was having a fireplace in the room

The cozy cabin was clean, but some updates need to be made, only the basic amenities like towels and coffee. They did supply firewood for the wood burning fireplace. Not convenient to make coffee because the only running water is in the bathroom. This resort has beautiful property and as long as you are prepared I would recommend it.

This was the perfect getaway for our family of 5, including 2 teens. The cottage was immaculate and the hot tub and fireplace were relaxing for all of us. The outdoor spaces were prepared for anyone to use and the views were stunning morning and at sunset. Our teens loved that there were basketballs and volleyballs (and hoop/net) available. Our youngest loved that we could see cows and corn. The staff were super friendly and helpful with our every question. We can't wait to come back again!

The garden view apartment was more than comfortable for 5 older women. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean and spacious, the family room area was comfortable and spacious enough for conversing. The view was wonderful. Shopping and dining were close, but you have to drive there. Continental breakfast was good for being a continental breakfast. My group agreed they would stay here again.
