Don't stay here!

This hotel is very run down! The door to my room didn't seal properly, so there were black beetles that crawled under the door and were crawling all over the carpet. The shower curtain had a larger hole in it. The towels should have been replaced years ago. Overall cleanliness of the room was not good. No shampoo or body wash in the bottles in the shower. Asked the front desk for individual bottles and they told me that housekeeping filled them already. Housekeeping didn't fill them. Also if you are traveling with a pet, the entire property is covered in goat heads that will get stuck in pets fur and paws.

Worked for us

Check in was easy and the drive in is fun. The hotel is old and dinghy but mostly clean. We would stay here again for an affordable fun stay.

Disappointing and HOT

We were so excited for this unique stay. However our excitement quickly turmed to annoyance upon check in. It took the front desk clerk 20 minutes to show up and by then there were three of us waiting to check in. During check in the clerk demonstrated a foul mood with little to no explination about our room's location or details. THEN, when we arrived to our room it had to be 80 degrees. It was very difficult to fall asleep in that heat and it took all night for the room to cool down. The only high point was the wonderful breakfast they offered which we throughly enjoyed. All in all a great concept but poorly executed. We will be trying the other drive in movie lodging across town the next time we drive through Colorado.

Not great

Room was clean and comfortable but properly needed renovation. Was very disappointed in the movie experience. Could only see the screen from half of our bed and it was so far away you couldn’t make out faces or read any words . Cars ran in and out through the whole movie and headlights hit you right in the eyes . If your going for a comfortable room it’s good , if your going for the movie experience- skip it . The food selection was very limited in the town also .

When we first got there, I requested ground floor as I am handcapped. She said there was none. The only option was for me to climb stairs to the second floor. Told her thank you but I would have to charge the card back and cancel the reservation. She said she did have one but it was a pet friendly room. I told her I had no problem with pet friendly rooms, and I was absolutely happy to stay in one. So she did in the end have a room on the ground floor in the annex building. Very nice lady who did go out of her way to find me a room. The rooms are very dated but they were clean. I appreciate that. The Annex Building is very quiet. Photos are the view from the Annex Building.

The Movie Manor is like an old friend. I am always happy to be there for a highly unusual location. Watching the drive-in movie from the room is still a kick. The place is clean but looking tired. The breakfast was excellent and the choice of foods was robust. It was a treat and an inexpensive stay. Whenever time allows, I will be back.

Terrible Customer Service at Hotel

Upon arrival, new front desk gentleman, was not friendly at all. I had called both hotels.com and the hotel directly the night before to let them know one of my party was sick and we were not a no show but would arrive the following day. Both hotels.com and the hotel assured me that my room would not be cancelled. I arrived, to be told by the unfriendly new front desk guy that my room had automatically been cancelled due to no show. I later learned that he cancelled it. I had paid in advance to hotels.com in full. He then proceeded to make a new reservation and charged me again for the same room. I called hotels.com, explained, and they refunded me for the 2nd night then the hotel recharged. It took me about 30 mins to check in, after a 4 hour drive. The front desk guy was clearly annoyed, never apologized, never smiled . . . 0 customer service. That guy needs a lesson in "hospitality."
