Stylish Hotel

The room is stylish, and the hotel is within walking distance to Dufferin Terrace, the Citadelle of Québec, and other major attractions. One small issue we noticed was a shoe print on the couch, but overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Really nice hotel! Stairs at the front door are a bit steep to climb up but otherwise, they’ve go everything down to perfection.

Old Quebec city stay

Great location, easy walk to Chateau and old Quebec City shops and restaurants. No elevator which would be a problem for older guests. Poor lighting in the washroom and terrible water pressure in the shower. Room was beautiful with the exposed stone walls.

We had the tiny split level room. I wouldn't stay in this room again because the bed was only accessible on one side and it was elevated by a few stairs that we had to negotiate before we had to go down a whole flight of stairs to the bathroom (especially in the dark at night). Zero closet or storage space. Staff was excellent and loved the completely new (as of May 2025) interior design of room but the lack of space and split level is a no from us especially at the price we paid. There are far better options in this hotel and elsewhere in town.

Concept hotel

Concept hotel. Did not know that meant tiny room, no place to sit. Bed on a shelf. I had to crawl in. Bathroom on lower level.

The property is beautiful, however my room was very small and had no closet to hang/put away clothes. There was only the bed, no other sitting. Since I was traveling alone, I was comfortable enough, though I always like to have a chair or sofa to sit on especially after being out a touring all day. I did ask to see other rooms, they were larger and had seating. I highly recommend the hotel, just ask for the larger room

This was a very nice historic hotel in a great location near Chateau Frontenac, however there were a few shortcomings as others have mentioned. We reserved the deluxe suite. I was aware that there was no elevator and thought we were on the third floor, forgetting that "European" floors start at zero. So we were actually on the fourth floor, which was 52 steps from the lobby. And we had a loft bedroom in addition to the regular bedroom, which was another 12 steps up for a total of 64. Slightly challenging for two women and a decent amount of luggage. The unit was nice with the original stone walls, however the loft ceiling height was only about 5' 3" so I was not able to fully stand up in there. That should have been mentioned on the listing. Getting up in the middle of the night was a challenge trying not to hit my head on the ceiling! The bathroom was very modern, however water pressure was very bad - slightly more than a trickle. That made showering a challenge. And the bathroom lighting over the mirror was poor making it nearly impossible to see to put on make up. Another bizarre thing was that there was an armoire to hang clothes, but the bar height was probably about 6 1/2 ft so a short person would not have been able to reach. There was also no place to put clothing in the bedroom or loft so I basically lived out of my suitcase. I do want to mention that Paula at the front desk was extremely nice and helped us plan several activities.

Everything was Perfect

We really enjoyed our stay! Paula is a wonderful Hostess! She made sure everything was perfect for us and had so much information to share. The location is perfect for walking to everything in Old Quebec City! Every evening we would walk up the hill to The Citadel and watch the sunset over the beautiful St Lawrence River and the Chateau!

Great location in the old city.

A very nice boutique hotel in a great location in the old city. The woman running the hotel is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are new and comfortable.

So so

Brand new property. We stayed in #3. Well appointed and stylish but the designer missed terribly in my opinion. No outlets on nightstands for phones. Used plugs away from bed on floor. Shower was a dribble. No pressure. All design without function. To open the windows, it was hot and stuffy, we had to crawl over an oversized desk to open windows.

6/10 Good

Aside from check in with RoseMarie, who was lovely and helpful, there were no visible staff at this hotel during our 3 day stay. Front desk is only open 9-5 and we had to call an after hours number on our second day for fresh towels because no one had come during the entire day we were out to freshen the room. We were told they “forgot”. The bedding was slightly soiled on the top cover but was not changed during our 3 day stay. The bedside light would randomly turn on and off throughout our entire stay. Although the hotel is newly renovated and aesthetically very nice, aside from initial check in there was no communication. It was not a welcoming environment. This hotel is on 3 floors wth no elevator, so keep that in mind. We are older travellers and the three storey climb to the room the end of a day walking the steep hills of Quebec City was the icing on the cake. For about $400 per night we expected a better experience.

4/10 Fair

The hotel maison was beautiful. Recently renovated. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working in our room (Cinq). The hotel reception staff leave at 5pm in the evening therefore we just reported it in the morning after a very uncomfortable sleep. The room temperature was 26.5 degrees Celsius overnight - extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully they had a pedestal fan in the room which we used the entirety of the time we were there. I only ever book properties with air conditioning, but unfortunately the lack of AC put a damper on our stay.

Stayed in the apartment that has 2 floors. It is a separate building right next door to the hotel building. It is newly renovated and very beautiful and comfortable. It is very quiet. The neighborhood is right in the old town and it is a close walk to all of the sights and restaurants of the old town. Parking is just up the street. The upstairs bed is very comfortable and even the downstairs sofa bed is fine. The upstairs shower has a glass wall looking into the room which seems strange. We just announced showers so the rest of our group would stay downstairs at that time, so not a problem. I would love to stay there again.

Right in the heart old Quebec, very close the all the attentions but not right in it so you get some peace and quiet from the busy area. Very clean, modern yet old style

Beautiful recent renovations. Paula the director of the hotel is super friendly and helpful as well as other staff. The only thing is that the room could use a few more hooks and hangers to put your clothes especially if you are there for more than 3 nights. We were living out of our suitcase. Overall a 10/10

This hotel offers a truly unique and modern experience. The exposed brick walls and spacious shower add a stylish, contemporary touch that really stands out. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and everything was clearly explained, making check-in and navigating the hotel easy. Highly recommended for a comfortable and refreshing stay!
