Wow, what an amazing little find! Wonderful hotel, within walking distance of the city centre and with parking! Fantastic staff, very warm and welcoming. Gorgeous boutique room that's spotless with a fantastic rainfall shower. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice and no request was too much. Had a lovely stay and well definitely return the next time we're in York.

I stayed in Room 12, the top floor apartment and it was fantastic. Everything I needed and more including tea, coffee, milk, chocolate and biscuits which was an unexpected touch! Great location, wonderful staff and all round a complete gem. I am already planning a return to York for pleasure rather than business and I’d certainly stay here again! Thank you!

Michael was very welcoming and helpful, as was George. Eclectic, warm and cozy furnishings, comfy bed, good shower, hearty fresh cooked breakfast. About 1/2 mile from the city center. Lovely, tree lined street with period homes. Not far from a little Sainsbury’s market, short taxi ride from the train station. We look forward to coming again in the future.

15 minute walk to city centre and parking onsite which was a bonus, breakfast was excellent, the downstairs bar was only open from 4pm till 8pm and apart from some traffic noise as our room was situated facing the main road everything was excellent. We even had a fridge in the room which was useful. Staff were great and we had a very relaxing weekend in York thanks to our hosts at the Burton Stone Inn.

This was the ideal room for a family city break. The staff were friendly and accommodating and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre, so we didn’t need to use the car at all for the duration of our stay.
