We loved our two nights at the Rutland Arms. Perfect location for all the local amenities, parking at the rear, lovely staff, spacious, comfortable and clean accommodation. Sky Movies and Sports was an unexpected bonus. The only improvement would be to increase the pressure on the shower, we are all for the environment but it was not much more than a trickle so took ages to rinse off shampoo and soap. Otherwise, the perfect stay.

Parking very easy and secure. The hotel is in a great location. Staff great. Bar and restaurant also great. The only small criticism is the shower pressure isn’t great - but manageable and not a problem/. Would definitely stay here again and again

A heritage building that has been recently restored. Rooms are large, lots of native timber used. We had dinner and breakfast, both of which were excellent. Great selection of craft beer in the pub.

Lovely room, welcoming staff. We ate in the pub in the evening as well as the continental breakfast. Both were delicious with good portions. Parking was easy once we’d located the car park! Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The Rutland Arms is great, central and easy to walk The rooms was a good size and clean. However no comfortable chairs in the room, water pressure in the shower was terrible, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were not very comfortable

The rooms met the old-world charm expected of a hotel of its age. The food and staff were both fantastic & welcoming, with the added advantage of booking meals & drinks to my room. Recommended as the place to stay in Wanganui.
