Look people, this motel is indeed due for an upgrade. You are paying $150 per night, not 3 or 4 hundred. The bed was comfy, parking right outside your room. Everything was clean and the owner/manager is a great bloke. If you drive a Holden, be prepared to talk about cars. He is a fan of the late Mr. Peter Brock. Give him a go and then maybe he can renovate.

WARNING! FILTHY! Cockroaches all over the floor. And to make it much worse, I went to the front desk and asked if they could clean it. They said no. I then asked for a broom, so at least I could sweep everything. They said no. They then said I could pay an amount equal to a whole extra room, and upgrade. He then said if I wanted a 5 star hotel, I should have gone somewhere else. I just wanted to get rid of cockroaches! The worst staff I have ever seen. What employer keeps staff who have an opinion of their place like that, COCKROACHES ARE EXPECTED BY THE FRONT DESK STAFF, LIVE WITH IT.

It is not at all what we expected when we booked. The pictures online are old and make the Motel look more inviting but when you arrive and open your room door not at all inviting. I will not be staying there again.

Property is disgusting falling apart needs bad maintenance, bed was horrible rock hard and only 1 pillow, curtains didnt close completely over the window, motel has permanent residents living there playing music and making noise all hours of the night..no customers service upon check in had to call a mobile number to get a pin to open the unit door..not worth $150 per night feeling ripped off!

Booked with wotif, selected to pay at hotel in person only to find out upon arrive the lady at reception (owners wife) had already taken money from my credit card, then requested an additional refundable $50 for the room that she will inspect when we're ready to leave. Digital key pad for rooms, one of the rooms I booked has a low battery in the key pad so you have to try it multiple times. The rooms smell like they've been cleaned choline, 3 people in both rooms but only 2 towels per room had request more. Meant to queen bed and single only got double bed and single bed. Walls are thin and can hear the next door neighbours. Rooms and bathrooms are way out dated and overpriced to be honest. Way overpriced "continental" breakfast for around $30 per person Honestly can't wait to get the hell out of here Would never recommend this place to anyone

We booked Raceways Motel in a hurry to stay for half a day while waiting for a connecting flight. We made the mistake pf not reading comments. Short stay at this motel is the most horrible motel experience we’ve had. 1. Room stink. Requested to change the room, a different room was given, it was a bit better than the initial room given, but still stunk. 2. Room not clean. There was stain, which appears to be blood stain on the counter top. The bedsheets were not clean. I am allergic to dust mites, I started itching less than an hour being on the bed (another customer had commented on the dust mites). Cupboards were dirty. (pictures attached) 3. Toilet not cleaned. Little baby cockroach on the sink 😊 (zoom picture attached). Wiring exposed. Commode bowl was stained. (pictures attached)
