Not a bad experience

Hotel is close to the beach (the quieter section of the beach), which is nice. The hotel area is quite comfortable and it's quite relaxing. The room is ok but it appears that the bathroom is a bit old. The amenities are not the best because they don't have the toothbrush. Breakfast is fine. It's not a buffet and you have to order from the menu - guarantee it's freshly made. My comment is, if the beach is not necessary, or if you don't mind walking, choose the hotel in the town and they are usually better value for money. The hotel next to the sea are mostly over-priced.

Great Beach Hotel

Stayed here 4 times now and love it. Nice mid size hotel with nice rooms with comfy bed and good bathroom. Staff are friendly with a get breakfast right across from the beach with 2 pools.

The old worldly Bali vibe here is what we lije. It’s not your four seasons , Hyatt. Type place and we like it for that. Rooms are rustic but clean, air con works, porch with a couch, cold fridge and mos of all the staff are genuinely and giving. The Balinese are wonderful souls and that shows through here. The food offering could improve a tad and the pool area could be monitored a bit better against the lounge hogs who drop towels on 6 lounges then disappear for hours on end. It’s a real pet hate of mine. Come, stay, dip in the pool or walk across the narrow street. Yo the beach and jump in the ocean. It’s a 1/2 hour stroll north to Seminyak or south to Kuta so well situated.

Place is lovely and peaceful. Always clean and staff are lovely. It’s close to many restaurants beauty salons shops and right on the beach. We will always stay here when coming to Bali. My only fault would be that I would of liked a bigger range of breakfast options even a buffet would be great.

Highly recommend the Puri Raja - it is central to shopping and so many eateries. The hotel is beautiful and kept immaculately clean. The staff are lovely and very helpful and the rooms generous sized and very comfortable. We loved it here.
