The check-in ruined my evening. We arrived with another couple and the man at the counter insisted about 5 times that the checkin problems were my fault because I booked our rooms through Expedia. After about 15 minutes he finally figured out a couple of rooms for us and sent us to our rooms, never apologizing for the delay.
We got to our rooms and my husband and I carried in our stuff. That’s when the checkin man came back and said he gave us the wrong rooms because (AGAIN) it was my fault. At that point I had had it and asked him why he kept saying his problems were my fault. He said because I had booked through Expedia and they were probably in a foreign country… what? Then he said we had to move and I stated that we had already brought our stuff into the room. It was just a statement, no profanity, no name calling, nothing that should have then provoked him to tell me that if I gave him any problems he would kick me off the property. He gave us our new room keys and we transferred our stuff. Not once did he apologize for his rude behavior or for the inconvenience or for his inability to check us in in a reasonable and respectful manner.
He was all smiles and sunshine at the time of checkout, but the damage was done and unfortunately, we will not be back. However, the resort was great! We enjoyed the rest of the time there. It was beautiful and the room was exceptionally clean! Kudos to the rest of your staff!
