Beware of bugs

We woke up to find bugs in our beds and bites on our bodies. Apologies were given but no refund. We cut our trip short and instead spent a full day doing laundry. The location is otherwise lovely.

When we arrived to our room there was no water in the toilet. We had to fill the toilet from our water bottles in order to flush the toilet. We finally figured out that the toilet water had been turned off. There was a strong antiseptic smell to the room and there were no towels. Breakfast was not as described on the breakfast menu for the week. During breakfast a homeless person came into the lobby with one shoe on and started rambling. No one was present at the check-in counter to handle this issue.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making sure that all my needs were met with a smile. The location of the hotel is excellent, providing easy access to all the local attractions and amenities. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety of options to choose from. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Overall very pleased with my stay, Facilities were in excellent shape and the room was clean, quiet and had a great view of Morro Bay. Would definitely consider staying here again. Taking one star off because the bed frame made a loud banging noise in response to almost any movement and the staff was more than 30 minutes late opening for the breakfast on the last day of my stay. (Ended up eating next door at Carla's instead)

Our stay was not pleasant. We were given a room with a loud persistent hum. When we complained first , we were told it was the dryers and the cleaners would leave soon. When it didn’t stop we complained again at 5.30 and were told now that there the room was close to the electrical room and nothing could be done. We had a horrible night - the noise persisted all the time. Couldn’t sleep at all.

The front desk checked us in at 3pm and the room had not been cleaned so we had to wait as there was nothing else available. The ice machine did not work the entire time. There was no orange juice at the continental break fast any of the mornings. The bathtub in the room did not hold water so it was not possible to take a bath. The shower had very very low pressure so you were in there forever trying to wash soap off. The bed base clanged loudly and you could hear the people upstairs enjoying the bed. The baseboards and the floor in the entire room were very dirty and from what I can see were never cleaned the entire time we were there. The closet doors were not aligned properly and did not open and close smoothly. The pillows were half the size of normal pillows and we were only able to get one extra. I can not overstate how disappointed I was in the quality of the room for the price I paid. It was honestly the worst best western I have ever stayed at.

The location is great - it's an easy walk to a ton of restaurants and shops and even to Morro Rock. The motel itself was alright. I got there right at 3 and was put in a room that wasn't cleaned. Went back down to the office and was given a new room that didn't have any towels, soap, or other amenities. When I called down to the office, they made me come down to get everything rather than bring it up. That was disappointing. I understand things get a little hectic but it wasn't like I was checking in early and they weren't very apologetic. I will say the woman who works the morning shift and does the breakfast was wonderful and was busting her butt making sure there was plenty of food available for everyone - I really appreciated her! Overall, the place is decent but seemed a bit pricey for what you get.
