We were very pleased with our stay over the 4th of July weekend. The room was comfortable and clean and the view of the beach was excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is central to most things. We will be happy to stay there when we return to Cape May.

The Avondale is a clean, well-run hotel, right across from the beach. Location is excellent for restaurants and shops. While it is not a fancy place, it is very comfortable and spacious, with rooms having their own balcony. We look forward to staying there again.

This was our third visit to Cape May but our first time staying at Avondale. We loved the property - it was clean and roomy, the beds were extremely comfortable, there was always hot water and good water pressure, and it was so convenient for walking around the town. We came to see a concert that was postponed from last summer, and the Convention Hall is less than a block from the hotel. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. We will definitely choose Avondale for future visits.
