The location is good, in walking distance you can easily reach the tourist sites, restaurants and tram station. The room is really tiny and the stairs is very narrow when you have luggage to carry on. One thing really bothered me happened when I scalded my fingers by HOT milk by accident during breakfast. It was so hurtful that I just wanted to put my fingers under cool running water. I walked out and saw there's a water-tap in the kitchen. I didn't have a second thought to use it. Suddenly a man showed and yelled at me. I tried to explain why and I did apologize but he was so angry and just asked me to get out as soon as possible. I KNOW it's for safety reason and it's my fault in the first place but really he didn't have to be that rude to me. My finger blistered afterwards.

This hotel is in a Good location, making it easy to explore tourist attractions by walk. The staff at the reception was very kind and helpful, even though we arrived before the official check-in time. We were also able to check in early, which was appreciated. Since the hotel is quite old, some areas seemed to be in need of renovation and repair.. There was also an unpleasant smell in the room, so we had to ventilate it for a while. Overall, if you're planning a short trip to Ghent, Belgium, this hotel would be a quite good choice.

Friendly, helpful and positive staff! Their English was very good, and they always met you with a smile and willingness to engage in conversation. The room was clean, and perfect for my kind of travel. Will definitely be back again

The location was convenient to the old town, the hotel seemed to be getting updated throughout, with new 43" TV (never watched as too much to see in Ghent), new trim and treatments. It was definitely a good value mini holiday. Just remember all the twists and turns going from and back to the Hotel. Only minutes to the churches, town hall and the belfry and plenty of restaurants.

Un sitio muy acogedor, sin lujos pero con lo esencial. El chico de recepción sumamente atento y agradable. Muy contenta con este alojamiento y su buena relación calidad precio. A 3 minutos del centro donde hay de todo. Ofrecen también desayuno.

The man who greeted us was very nice. Hotel is really run down and basic. It seems like some rooms have been upgraded but others not. Breakfast was nice. Location pretty good. Easy walking to centre.

Fitted bottom sheets would have avoided us having to get up in the night to remake our beds. I was disappointed to find mould on the side of the bed nearest the bathroom when I had to refit the sheet in the night. Could housekeeping please check that all lights were working! Two bulbs in the bedroom were not working nor the main light in the bathroom. The bathroom cabinet light was not sufficient. One guest staying in the room could not reach the switch for it! The carpet was very grotty! If breakfast is offered at 8 o’clock, it would be appreciated that all is ready and fresh AT eight !

Muy conveniente al estar al frente de la estación central. Personal super amable y atento. No tuvimos electricidad como desde las 9 pm hasta las 2 am por una falla en la ciudad, no es culpa del hotel, pero me hubiera gustado que tuvieran un mejor sistema de respaldo para ocasiones así.

La habitación es encantadora con lindos detalles antiguos. La cama es muy cómoda. El baño compartido pudiera estar más limpio. Cómo edificio antiguo es ruidoso pero aceptavle. Bien ubicado muy cerca del centro histórico. Recepción cierra muy temprano pero la entrada autónoma fue muy sencilla.

The bed was great. Bathroom was big, almost same size as the room, but the air was a bit damp. Floor was still wet in the morning if I took a shower in the evening. Location is great, short walk to the center.

The photos did not reflect the general condition of the room. The room was clean but it did not match the photos at all. I was expecting a more modern room, but instead it seemed like it was built years ago without renovation. We also had a sort of loft where you had to climb up some narrow stairs to get to the bed inside the room, which I was not aware of while booking. Staff was friendly and answered questions that we had. Location was central and we could walk to the center in a few minutes.

Es ist ein in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, das sich wegen der zentralen Lage zur Altstadt bestens für Erkundungen des Stadtkerns eignet. Mehr sollte man aber auch nicht erwarten.
