The beach was a less than block away, and was close to various restaurants. The owners were friendly and helpful. My room was cleaned daily and had helpful amenities like coffee, microwave, TV, and fridge. It was also very quiet, and I would definitely stay again.

This was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. I booked a 4-night stay, but because I couldn’t check in before 7 PM on the first day, the rude and unprofessional hotel owner canceled my entire reservation without warning. To make things even worse, they refused to issue a refund and ignored all my attempts to contact them—they won’t even answer the phone! I reached out to Expedia, expecting some kind of support, but they told me that since they had already deposited the money into the owner’s account, there was nothing they could do. No refund, no alternative solution, and not even a formal complaint report against the hotel. Absolutely no effort to resolve the issue. Both the hotel and Expedia showed a complete lack of professionalism and customer care.

We stayed in room 4. We didn’t mind that it was small and not remodeled. The problem was a musty/ mold smell. Ceiling tiles were stained, We kept the door open when we could for fresh air. The guy that runs the place is nice but they need to find the problem and fix it.

The room was dirty with weird stains in the bathroom and on the towels. The bathroom didn't have a working light so we had to bring a flashlight into the bathroom after dark. The window screen in the bathroom was broken and kept falling out. The towel rod in the bathroom was broken and the shower curtain didn't stretch the length of the tub nor did it stay in place and needed to be constantly readjusted. There were weird stains inside the glass door of the microwave. The air conditioner kept changing the temperature on its own. Every time we stopped by the reception office to tell them about our concerns there was a sign up stating they'd be back in 10 minutes.

It's a motel not a five star Marriott so keep that in mind. The location is excellent with a 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff and owners are very nice. We didn't use the pool but others did. It could use so deep cleaning but that said we would love to return when Trump is finished picking on us Canadians. So see you in 3 years I guess.

It is one of the less expensive places in Pompano so….several issues surfaced during our 3 day stay. Management only on site from about 10 til 7. Rooms are very tired, particularly bathroom. Damp towels not replaced on second night ignoring our request. Construction across the street is noisy. Pool shocked in the morning of second day making it unusable. Weather was perfect, beach close by was perfect.

Merci beaucoup pour votre aide. Nous avons eu droit à rehausser notre chambre puisque nous avons eu une problématique lors de notre deuxième nuit. Le propriétaire est vraiment gentil et avenant. Le motel prend de l’âge, mais propre, certaines chambres ont du tapis. Près de la plage :) Bon rapport qualité prix.

We love those 1950s style hotels. Small, affordable, and tons of character. Location of Palms is perfect. We’ve stayed in Delray, Deerfield, and Boca. Compared to these places, Pompano seems to be undergoing some gentrification. Entire blocks are being torn down and high rise developments are going in. The beaches were pretty, the public areas were exceptionally maintained. Tons of restaurants and coffee spots. The staff at Palms was very attentive. The grounds looked freshly updated and having a convenience store on site was great. The beach was easily accessible even though there is a 20 story condo high rise going in across the street. Be aware there is no ocean view anymore and pics should be updated on Expedia, but we would stay again.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The guy at the front is very nice and let my family check in early. When entering the room it wreaked of Pine Sol so bad that we had to vent the room for hours. Later on, we found out why the strong cleaner smell. Underneath the sink were leaking pipes, dirty pots and pans with mold, and a smell that immediately made my cousin vomit. Cockroaches came out of the sink at sundown and crawled around the kitchen as well. The sheets and pillows were stained and dirty too. If that wasn’t enough, there was a crackhead tweaking on drugs for hours yelling obscenities. After we went out to dinner, I had my family leave the room and I booked them another room at another hotel instead. This place is a waste of money and is not safe. It is dirty and even though the staff is nice and it’s right by the beach, it is not worth it.
