The staff are tbe highlight of any stay at Murrex. They are pleasant and williong to help. However, thje air-conditioning wall-unit on my room was innadequate. On whatever seeting I tried, at best it gave out dull, dirty air. It was set on 16C but the room never fell below the mid 20s. The presence of a large window didn't help, acting as a room-heater.

Pleasant, but expensive compared to other countrie

I've stayed at the Murex several times before so I knew anat to expect. First night my bathroom didn't smell fresh at all.. distinct smell of urine... but that was cleaned on request. Considering we are talking about Liberia, it's a good experience. Obviously it's way more expensive than a similar hotel elsewhere, so I assume that will change when there are more visitors to Liberia (?)

All the hotel staffs were wonderful, especially the cleaning crew members and securities on site. Plus the hotel WiFi service was incredible and the rooftop was beautiful, you get a great view of the city. The only few exceptions that prevented me from extending my stay for the duration of my trip was the following; the hotel currently do not having a smart television so I couldn’t watch my Netflix, Amazon prime and etc. In addition, the hotel does not have a swimming pool. These two exceptions were what prevented me for staying longer than 3 days.

Not Coming Back again.

My stay was not at comfort at all. The walls in my room had cracks in them, Bathroom is too small, especially the shower, ac barely works, television only has one channel; CNN and the breakfast was terrible. You eat the same breakfast everyday. The customer service was terrible as well. One of the employees questioned my status at the hotel because I had my girlfriend with me having breakfast knowing that my room was booked for two people. It was totally embarrassing because she did it in front of other guests. Worse of all, the manager didn’t even apologize to me after they saw that they were totally wrong. The place is sucks. Won’t be staying there ever!

Expensive, given it's level of quality

Extremely noisy Mac wine outside my window. TV Chanels were mostly scrambled - not the hotels fault. It's over-priced for its quality, but then anything in Liberia used by overseas visitors will prove to be so. A similar hotel in the US would struggle to charge $75.

For Monrovia, a good choice.

For Monrovia, this is a good hotel choice. Internet and TV proved to be intermittent, however, the management were quick to attempt to get things online again. The A.C. is welcome after a long day out in the heat.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It’s well maintained with a homely feel. Staff are available to sort out any issues quite quickly. Internet is very weak in the rooms. It can benefit from a little refurbishment

For Monrovia, $80 per night for a standard room with working AC, hot water, friendly staff, and breakfast included is a good deal. Central location as well, easy walking distance to markets and restaurants.
