This a small and somewhat remote property in a charming old building and is a pleasant, quiet place to stay. A single employee appeared to be running the place, and was not present on arrival, but the place was nevertheless in good shape and clean, and the breakfast was good.

So wonderful: clean, unique, and personable place to stay! We had an excellent 4-course dinner. We choose to sit with other guests, and we chatted and learned so much! It was fantastic and we want to come back.

My husband and I have gotten a little tired of the chain hotels so we try to stay in places like this when we can it’s small size made for a much more comfortable stay and we will definitely be looking at it when we get back out to that part of the country

Nice old manor. Small room. Almost no sound proofing so very loud when other guests were enjoying the inhouse dining. Fortunately they finished at about 8:45pm.

Beautiful property and adorable accommodations out in the country and pet friendly. However i booked this location because the website said it had a hot tub. Turns out, the hot tub hasnt worked in years. If they took that off the website that would be helpful for those who really were looking forward to a soak after running dog agility all day. I will definitely stay here again, cozy room, space for the dog to run and sniff, but i wont pack a bathing suit next trip 😅

The house was stunning and very clean. Although we got eaten alive by the bugs outside it was in a nice surrounding area.
The only issue we had with staff was that after breakfast we were told that we hadn't paid which we thought we had so when we were handed the debit machine we meant to only tip on the breakfast but ended up tipping on the whole amount which cost a lot more than we wanted to.

Communication with owner was poor - no response to messages. Meals not available despite asking about this. Hotel had a lot of potential but owner clearly not got his heart in the property - don’t believe the website which talks about a chef who apparently left many years ago. Place is up for sale which says it all. Bed was very uncomfortable and shower ran out of hot water. All of this was rescued a little by a very good hotel manager who tried hard to put things right and cooked an excellent breakfast.
