Rainbow motel has exactly the amenities senior like myself enjoys, 1/clean basic room c/w parking right out side my door. 2/Spacious well groomed grounds for sitting and visiting other travelers. It was musty, bath was old and and had no counter space. The beds were hard and lumpy. Staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were attractive. It would be nice if they had a coffee malt in the room.

We selected the Rainbow Motel for its high rating but after checking in, it became apparent that the rating system needs to be updated to enable a higher rating. This motel is in the style of a 1960’s roadside motel but I feel like I was the first person to stay in it. So clean and well maintained. Laura, who checked us in was a sweetheart.

This was the fourth consecutive year we've stayed here on our journey north. This is a classic old motel, very well kept and very well run.b process are reasonable in the area, and it's easily walkable to dining or shopping. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Amazing service and convenient location

The owner was incredibly helpful and saved us money! We were able to walk to the ferry and could have saved $3 on tickets if only we'd had cash! She had tons of tips for us and gave us coupons and suggestions for local eats--that's on top of the reasonable price and clean, comfortable room!

This older, neat, and tidy motel was perfect for us while we were traveling through Mackinaw. An easy walk to downtown and all the restaurants available in the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. This property is was super clean and quiet. We will stay here again.

The staff/ owner was exceptionally hospitable and the rooms were nice and clean. It had a vintage charm with old cars in the parking lot and a personal touch. Very nice find in a great location. We would stay here again.
