I love how vintage the property is. I also love how quiet the area is and how it’s not in a crowded town.

10/10 Exceptional

If you are into small town quaint experiences but with modern amenities as opposed to chain hotels near the Interstate this is the place for you! This hotel has been maintained very well despite being built in the 1800s. There is a very good restaurant/ bar on property. It is situated within 5 minutes of Interstate 70 so it’s convenient. It marks the halfway point from Kansas City and Denver. The town is cute but not much left in the way of open businesses which is a shame.

Lovely old building with the character beautifully retained. Really good home style cooking.

What a gem this hotel is. Restored with care. Immaculately clean. Lovely bed linens. And such an interesting heritage to explore in our stop over. The town is fun too.

A gem!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint hotel. Lots of history here, and the staff is very pleasant. We stayed here in the way out and back from seeing our daughter in Estes Park and it was almost halfway for us which was perfect.

This is a restored and modernized Railroad Hotel. The Tasting Room has an excellent chef and we are never disappointed when we stay there. If you get a room in the front part of the hotel the trains might wake you up but that just adds to the charm of this place.

Very unique. Loved the history and the decor.
Helen, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I love the History of the hotel and the hotel it self was unique. It had a very nice restaurant with a outside patio. It also had a nice pub in the basement. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a very nice place to stay for a day or two if you are heading either direction on I -70

We enjoyed the comfort & quiet. Thank you! Also, the barn had some amazing food. We added this hotel to our list of must stay at when passing through.

Supper we had beef stroganoff. The meat was tough and fatty. The stroganoff sauce was very bland. Breakfast you had an option of toast muffins cold cereal, overall, the hotel room beds property were excellent. Have fun little town.
Delbert, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Interesting historic hotel. The rooms were comfortable. The only negative for me was the (original) glass panel above the room door that unfortunately let in alot of light from the hall lights at night making it more difficult to sleep.
Pamela, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great historic inn; expect small authentic rooms with the sink beside the tall antique bed, and don’t count on a working TV. But we loved the history!
Rick, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very friendly staff. I liked the historical character of the hotel and the town of Wilson. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that the room next to us had a dog that would bark constantly when the owners were not in the room. Thankfully they got him quiet at bedtime.
Tony, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

very unique place to stay and see how well it is kept up. word of caution take a fan and pillows unless you like hard pillows. other than that it was very unique and interesting.
MARY, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

It is overpriced. The room was tiny and so hot. We had to have the windows open and luckily i had a fan in my car. The walls are so thin, i could hear the individual in the next room snoring. I understand it is an old building and the history is cool but not for the price they charge.
Amy, 1-night trip

Let them have eggs

The hotel is in apparent great condition. Very quiet interior, beautiful overall. Continental Breakfast lacked selection, also no eggs offered up. We're staying again nontheless...
