A gem in Cancun

I can't recommend this hotel enough. I wish I could give more stars than I did, as this hotel was better than expected. Beautiful renovated room with lots of amenities, great pool area and huge breakfast buffet with many options. Small issue: Some confusion regarding the fact there are two hotels at this location (both same owner). On my first morning I inadvertently had breakfast at the other hotel breakfast area, which is much simpler than the Oh Cancun's complimentary buffet at the other side of the building. I only which it was made clearer. Maybe a sign and arrow at the elevator exit would help future guests not make that mistake.

Reservé en Oh! Pero nos dieron habitación en Smart

Hay 2 hoteles juntos con una sola entrada y recepción. Yo reservé 3 noches en El OH! pero nos dieron una habitación en el Último piso del SMART, (elevador solo llega al piso anterior) que no estuvo mal pero no tiene ventanas panorámicas y eso no me gustó y después vi precios y el Smart es más económico. Además solo el primer día hubo botellas de agua, café y amenities, Los siguientes 2 días ya no surtieron, solo jaboncito. Al llegar no nos dimos cuenta que el acomodo de habitación no era en el hotel q reservé, nos dimos cuenta hasta mucho después :-( El desayuno ya incluido de muy buena calidad, variedad de jugos, frutas, huevos, guisados, panes, café, etc. So se renta auto, tienen un amplio estacionamiento para los 2 hoteles y estos 2 hoteles están caminado muy cerca del enorme mall Plaza Las Américas. Si se va a estar paseando por tantos atractivos qué hay en la zona, es una buena opción hospedarse ahí, lejos de la playa. Aunque tiene una bonita alberca, son 2 hoteles como para estar fuera todo el día. Hay oportunidad por una cuota adicional estar en el Club de playa del enorme hotel Oasis de la zona hotelera. Si volvería a hospedarme ahí, ya qué la limpieza, el desayuno, la zona y el estacionamiento amplio los hacen muy elegibles.

Don’t Second Guess Booking Here!!!

I never write reviews but I have to write this one! Brung my daughter to Cancun for her birthday and booked a resort that was not to my cleaning standards so we left and booked here and I’m sooooo happy we did! This hotel is bomb! Very clean!!! Pool area is so amazing & peaceful! The free breakfast was so good every morning! &&& they have happy hour everyday from 6-11pm! We didn’t even want to be away from the hotel too much because happy hour at the pool was a vibe! Staff was so friendly and helpful! Just all around a great hotel with a very affordable price! It’s in the city area of Cancun but still not far from everything, there’s a convenience store across the street & Walmart is about 5 mins away. They also have free parking so you can rent a car if needed! I’m so happy I found this place last minute because our trip would have been so uncomfortable staying at our initial resort. Will definitely stay here again & again! If you are the type of person that’s big on staying in a clean & comfortable hotel this one is for you, don’t even 2nd guess. I have a cleanliness phobia & all my worries went away as soon as we checked in! THANK YOU GUYS! Especially the bartender in the restaurant I can’t remember his name, so nice & friendly!

Pleasant resort downtown

Very comfortable hotel with lots of amenities and services. I particularly liked the room, its cleanliness, the size and view over the pool area. The location is also great for day trips pick-ups and a very short walk to lively streets. I also enjoyed the fitness room, the beautiful pools with the lounge chairs. I would have liked for the breakfast to open at 6:30am rather than 7am which is when day trips start so there is barely anytime to get to breakfast if you are waiting for a bus to leave for the day. Other than that, I think this is a great value and I would definitely come back.

Misleading photos, not good room, nice amenities

The pool area was great and the hotel is very clean, but the Hotels.com profile is a bit misleading. The first three pictures (with the beach and rooftop pool) labeled “miscellaneous” are the beach club that is an extra charge $30+ per day and it’s obviously at a different location, because this hotel is in central Cancun (which is a great location to be walkable to food places and mercados). The lobby area is nice, as is the gym. If you are wondering why there are two Hotels.com profiles, it’s because the second building (attached to Oh! and the same lobby) is actually called “Smart The Urban Oasis.” They put me in a room on this side (Smart The Urban Oasis) and it was not great. The furniture did not look anywhere as nice as the photos, the shower needed replacement and oscillated from hot to cold, and the bed had a singular sheet at the bedding (no blankets or comforters in the room). Also one of the outlets didn’t work and the end and middle of the hall was being renovated. There’s no refrigerator, and there was a coffee machine but no coffee. The breakfast buffet is good, but get there early or you will be waiting for a table. I want to give this hotel a good review, but my experience was not comfortable. This hotel has potential, and I can see why many people like it. I think I had a bad room on the less nice side of the hotel.
