Tired Old Motel

Staff both front desk and housekeeping are friendly. But I prefer newer laminate floors to dirty old carpet found in halls and room. Lobby is almost empty with no furniture thought I appreciated and used local travel info to stay another day and visit area. Room is not as pictured as there was no floor lamp or easy chair as shown or framed art. Also room had musty odor and under window HVAC unit required frequent temperature adjustment. Simple metal padded chair at desk was not meant for that use as it was too low. Tub/shower & toilet room was cramped old style. On a positive note, small fridge had a freezer section free of ice and cold to refreeze my ice packs.

Basic.

I don't expect a lot from any Motel 6, except for a decent room to go to sleep for a night. It's a low bar. CONS: The shower head is less than 6 feet up the wall. WHO designed/built this place?!? Shampoo was available from the front desk in a single-use packet, which is perfectly fine, BUT I COULDN'T OPEN IT in the shower. I needed scissors to open it OUT of the shower, which I don't carry on trips! PROS: The coffee in the lobby in the morning was surprisingly decent. At least there's that! Employees were friendly. OK for a quick overnite "rest-stop", but not for extended stays, IMHO.

Motel 6 is known for its simplicity and comfort. Not a lot of frills but a good place to rest your head. This motel was no exception, the staff was friendly and courteous and efficient. We felt comfortable to checking in, and felt welcome during our entire stay. The parking lot was large and easy to find, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The only two small criticisms were the toilet was short(I'm a tall guy) and The lighting in the room was a little strange that a wall switch would control the bed lights, and there was a single outlet by the nightstand. These are tiny little things that took nothing from our enjoyment of our trip and our stay at the motel.

Nice, comfortable stay.

Comfortable stay. I stay here often when in town. Always clean. Always quiet. Always safe. I like the little convenience store next to the building too. There’s also an attached family restaurant that has good food. The hotel is very basic. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but that is reflected in the rates. I’ve never had a bad stay. Very kind, professional staff.

Okay stay....

Needs to be updated and deep clean. Bed is hard and makes sounds every time you move. Bathroom doesn't have hot water due to other rooms showering. Had to wait over an hr. Bathroom around floor of tub is nasty. Walls paper thin. You can hear everything. Even with TV up. They come in your room well you're not there to replace towels and moved my stuff around. I am happy I got towels, but I didn't ask for any. So, it was kind of freaky them being in the room. Staff is friendly. Nothing to do near hotel. Overall, an okay stay for the price.

The rooms are a little dated but the AC/Heat worked well, the beds were comfy and the water was hot. TV was nice and the remote actually worked. Quick trip to my destination, booking my next stay now. Seems they cleaned up the place because a few years ago this was a hard line stay away from according to the locals.

Not bad but....

Not bad but definitely not the nicest I've ever stayed in. Cleanliness could use some work. Room was rather dated no charging ports or newer amenities. There wasnt even a pic on the walls. On the plus side it was cheap and the food at the attached restaurant was good.

Safe, economic, and okay.

The staff were very nice and accommodating; however, the room had some issues. There were some bloodstains on the bedskirt and on the carpet by the sink. Also, the walls were thin, so we could hear our neighbors talking, watching tv, and listening to music at all hours. Other than that, it was a perfectly comfortable and economic place to stay.
