We had a fantastic stay at the Ariana Sustainable Luxury Lodge - it is a real oasis in what is a busy area. From when we arrived, the team made us feel really looked after and we were especially pleased to be upgraded to a room with a view of the valley and outdoor patio. The breakfast was delicious and the room was very well appointed.

Since it was my first time visiting the area, I put a lot of thought into choosing a hotel, and it seems I made the best choice. Even when we were stranded due to heavy snowfall, the staff went above and beyond to resolve the issue with great kindness. Although it’s a small hotel, it lacks nothing. I highly recommend visiting!

The property is located high on a cliff with a beautiful view of the Cappadocia region. The hotel is amazing, the room was excellent, clean, cozy, quiet and comfortable. The hotel decoration is high quality. Staff of the hotel is friendly and helpful, they try to do everything to make your stay smooth. The only downside is the restaurant. We haven’t tried the whole menu, but what we tried was ok only. I’m not saying that is bad, but it could be better specially when you take in consideration the prices, it’s overpriced. In the town you will eat better and cheap. However, the staff in the restaurant is very friendly, specially the gentleman working as a waiter at the night shift. It was my wife birthday and they prepared a beautiful and tasty cake for her which was super nice from the restaurant/hotel. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I travel back to Cappadocia.

The luxurious hotel in cappadocia

I am a very picky person but I could not ask for more from this hotel! It should be the most expensive hotel in cappadocia but it’s worthy! Excellent view, great food, personalised service. We stay at the best suite right next to the restaurant. They could provide breakfast at our balcony and extended breakfast time after 10:30am. One morning I was taking pictures at their organic garden, one of the staff came and picked some berries for us. Then he made us smoothies with those fresh picked berries. Many thanks to him. All the staff are helpful, polite and professional. I miss this place

3박의 호텔 이용후기

럭셔리 컨셉의 호텔이라 예약을 했고, 처음은 만족스러웠다. 둘째날 청소하러 오셨을때 1시간 뒤에 와달라고 말씀드렸는데 housekeeper가 영어를 못알아들으셔서 청소를 안하고 가셨다. 외출후 저녁에 와보니 청소가 안되어 있어서 너무 당황했고, 리셉션에 전화해서 청소가 안되었으니 타올과 물과 쓰레기통만 비워달라 했다. 리셉션에서 오셔서 물과 타올을 주시면서 쓰레기콩은 비울사람이 없다고 했다. 그럼 다른 쓰레기통이라도 달라. 꽉차서 쓸수가 없다. 그랬더니 고민해보겠다 하고 가셨다. 이후 다른 남자분을 모셔와서 쓰레기통을 비워 주셨다. 여기서 이해가 안되는 두가지 포인트, 하나는 영어도 못알아 들어서 청소 안하고 가셨더라도 다시 와서 확인을 하고 청소를 했어야 하고, 저녁 시간에 쓰레기통 하나 비워줄 사람이 없는 호텔을 럭셔리 호텔이라 할수 있는냐는거다. 5성급 호텔의 비용을 받으려면 서비스도 5성급이어야 하는데 서비스는 아직 팬션 같은 느낌이랄까. 환경을 좋은데 서비스는 아직 미흡한것 같다. 다음날 매니저가 너무 미안하고 나의 불찰이라 너무 죄송하다고 서비스로 호텔에서 저녁 식사를 공짜로 제공 하겠다 하셔서 식사를 하였다. 그곳은 식당이 하나인데 , 조식은 그래도 나쁘지 않게 나오는 편이다. 그러나 저녁 식사를 2번 정도 했는데 , 육류 요리가 정말 별로다. 첫날은 너무 짭기만 해서 남겼고 , 두번쨰는 rib bone steak 였는데 껍질은 다타고 질겨서 커팅이 되지 않았다. 식당 매니저가 왜 안먹었냐고 물어 보길래 똑같이 말했더니 , 따뜻할떄 빨리 먹어야 안질기다고 말해서 황당했다. 확실히 저녁 요릴 개선의 여지가 있는것 같다. 맛있게 하면 훨씬 많이 사먹을 것 같다. 괴레메는 그 식당 말고도 먹을곳이 많은데 ... 결론적으로는 호텔측에서 최선을 다해 서비스를 해주었으나 애초 서비스 자체는 럭셔리 호텔 컨셉에는 미흡하고, 호텔 레스토랑은 개선의 여지가 있다. 다만 인근의 동굴 호텔과 비교하면 뷰도 좋고 객실도 우수해서 어떤면에서도 비교하기는 힘들것 같다. 주차 공간은 조금 좁지만 발레도 해주셔서 나쁘진 않았다.

Gorgeous property, but some issues

I stayed at Ariana for three nights with my husband and sister. We often stay at Small Luxury Hotels and found this property though the SLH site. We were very much looking forward to our stay as the highlight of our trip to Turkey. Unfortunately, there were a number of cons that detracted from what could be a really amazing place and experience. Cons included 1) Ariana lost my sister's jeans during their laundry service then refused to admit any responsibility 2) the "sustainable" part of its name is just green-washing, there's nothing exceptional sustainable here and some things are just outright non-sustainable, like the lack of water to fill up reusable bottles 3) a very sad breakfast. Pros include 1) a beautiful room with an amazing private haman 2) very very helpful valet guys who helped us move our car in a snow storm 3) good food at dinner. I wish I could give Ariana a 5-star review but the issues I outlined above detracted from the experience too much for that to be the case.
