The staff were friendly and helpful, very happy with the service. The rooms were of a very good size and clean. The hotel was perhaps a little older but it was all still very comfortable. Very close to Matsumoto station, and a very reasonable walk to Matsumoto Castle, the art museum, and shopping and good restaurants. The hotel and rooms are pretty basic, but the room was clean and comfortable. It was a bit of a tight squeeze for 3 (two adults and one child) due to the extra cot, but it made a good base for sightseeing. The staff was very friendly and helpful

Priced well. Curtious staff and clean accommodations. Easy walk from station and other dining, bars, and tourist sites. Matsumoto Castle was only 12 min walk but you go through all the great shops along the way so its wonderful.
