Staff was extremely friendly, parking in the back was very accessible, and convenient small little breakfast in the morning. Rooms and hallways are charming.

Great walkable location, quiet, clean and quaint rooms, and a nice free breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!

Easy, Friendly and nice

Wonderful stay! Two bedroom suite was perfect for 4 adults and a child. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

I've stayed twice and had a great visit both times. The hotel is small but has everything you need and the staff are happy to help with anything.
Hannah, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are clean but need updating. Those on the front (Sherbrooke St) side are very noisy. Breakfast itself is alright, but the breakfast area is too small. Overall, value is consistent with the low price.

Superb

We checked in early, got free parking, and had excellent service by the reception. Nice little breakfast in the morning with some great bagels and tea

This is a beautiful property, the staff is super kind, the bed is comfortable, the tub has a fantastic size. The complimentary breakfast was a wonderful addition to start the day easier. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great value and location, near Metro stations

The parking here is free and compact, but the hotel staff are always around and able to help move cars to let yours out. Not much need for a car once you arrive though, as there are many Metro stations nearby that run constantly without delays, which get you to all the best parts of Montreal. The breakfast here was described as "express" meaning that there would be no buffet style sausage or bacon, but rather a great selection of rye bread, bagels of various types, and English muffins. There were also plenty of fruits from apples to bananas to pears, and even kiwis. The coffee is brewed fresh in a pot and was delightful with lots of sugar and cream/milk to pick from. The rooms were very clean and the soaps in the bathroom were delightful and lavender scented which was nice. The worst part was the mattress we had, which has essentially no support. It felt like all the supportive materials inside the mattress had flown south for the winter. Nonetheless, the mattress and sheets were clean and stain free, leaving us with great comfort in that way. Overall, I would return here, but maybe a different room with a more supportive mattress. I rate this place 9/10 overall, great value and location especially.

We had fun and it was an interesting hotel. The coffee for breakfast wasn't quite as good as expected, But lovely non the less (I'm a tea drinker, my hubby is the coffee snob) and we walked to a coffee shop that was great so it was all good! The staff was lovely and the room was neat.

Hôtel was close to everything. Hallway is narrow, sometimes loud. Breakfast and parking not free, parking can be found around but you may have to walk. Great location, helpful staff.

Love

If you come to Montreal, staying at Chateau de l’ Argoat is a must. This vintage estate is beautifully maintained and close to several cool spots. Staff is superb and can’t wait to stay here again 10/10

10/10 Exceptional

We stayed in a charming, spacious room on the ground floor that was very quiet despite facing Sherbrooke St. Building is very well maintained, staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Parking was super convenient, and location was perfect, easy to access by foot, metro, car, and Bixi bike. A great value compared to other hotels in Montreal. Would definitely stay here again.
Shyan, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Clean, easy, friendly service.

10/10 Exceptional

On a busy street. Mixed blessings of much traffic noise but felt safe leaving or arriving at any time. Pack earplugs.
Susan, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Super conveniant. Metro stop across the street, around the block from tons of bars and restaurants. Walkable airport bus stop down the hill. I've stayed at many hotels and many different parts of Montreal, this is easily the best mix of convenience while not feeling like the empty business district of downtown or the overpriced touristy parts of Old Montreal

Short and sweet

Our stay at your very lovely boutique hotel was marked by the friendliest, most helpful service of our entire two week trip. Your reception staff were tireless in making our all too brief visit a pleasure, thank you to them all. The photo of our whirlpool bath was a joke between us as our previous hotel had such a narrow bathroom, the floor mat extended beyond the door!
Alison, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Good but not great.

The property is good, but not great, with many small issues that simply did not live up to expectations based on the many positive reviews from other guests. Staff were great, and location was great. But street noise and street lighting are a challenge. And small maintenance details make this impressive property shine much more than it did. I really wanted to love the hotel, but did not...

Family city trip

Lovely smaller old hotel. We really liked our room, clean, high ceilings, wooden floors, all very quaint. The double bed felt a bit small after being in other bigger beds across usa on our holiday but was comfortable. The shower was a bit small and could do with a new shower head. Husband loved there was a jet bath. The staff were very helpful and we would return if back in Montreal. Very near metro bought a 24 hour pass for around 11 can$. Breakfast of bagels, fruit, yoghurt toast was all good. Coffee available during day in same breakfast room.
2-night trip

4/10 Fair

Too noisy at night. No refrigerator and no kettle in the room. Small toilet. The blankets were not cozy at all. But the staff was kind. It looks more like a hostel rather than a chateau especially the parking lot.
Chini, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

This hotel is not fancy and a bit worn around the edges, but it is clean, well located, offers free on-site parking and provides good value.

Tres bon hotel

Hotel charmant, traditionnel. Chambre spacieuse. Personnel très accueillant et gentil. Petit dejeuner gratuit, pratique. Hotel bien placé, a coté d'une station de metro

Nice staff

Staff was friendly. Hotel was clean. However: Be advised of the following: Hotel was built in the 1870s and there is no elevator and 4 floors. Also parking is terrible. (45 rooms 15 spaces)
