Loved the room with AC and cubicle beds shelve and private light. Clean toilets and spacious showers. Very quiet despite the often noise bar. Close to activity shops like; snorkelling, diving, kite surfing, etc. Wish some guests would respect the hospitality of those charming locals.

Sand bar is the place to stay when you are a single traveler or even a couple trying to save money. The rates are cheap and the hostel is really clean.. The staff is superior .. my favorite 2 are Ponchó and Kimberly..

The dorm rooms are great if they are not crowded. My first 4 nights were great. My last night the room got packed with really messy people but that’s hostel life. The staff is all amazing and super helpful. The common area is a great place to hang out. It’s super close to everything basically. You just have to get lucky with roommates.

Amazing time staying here. The staff are welcoming and social and the communal areas are well maintained, I enjoyed chilling in the hammocks and by the bar. Shared toilets and showers were clean also! It’s a great vibe here!

I recently spent a delightful 7 days at the Sand Bar Hostel in San Pedro, Belize, and it turned out to be a memorable experience filled with stunning sunrises, excellent service, and a great sense of community. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking sunrise from our room's sliding door. Waking up to the vibrant colors of the sky over the ocean was a daily treat that added a magical touch to our vacation. The hostel was well maintained, with a cleaning schedule that ensured our comfort every three days. The cleanliness of the place contributed to a pleasant and hygienic atmosphere throughout our stay. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful, providing valuable information about the hotel's amenities and offering excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants and eateries. Their local insights greatly enhanced our overall experience, making exploring the best of what San Pedro had to offer easier. Our room, though small, was cozy and perfect for two people. It met our needs, and the incident that occurred overnight, causing a temporary water shutdown, was swiftly resolved by morning. The staff's efficiency in handling the issue demonstrated their commitment to guest satisfaction. Speaking of the staff, their exceptional service went beyond problem-solving. Their friendliness and willingness to assist created a welcoming environment, making us feel at home!

I wish I found the Sanbar sooner, I probably would have stayed here my whole 7 nights in Belize. It's on the sand, facing the beach, walking distance from the water taxi drop off. There's a kitchen for residents, the pool was beautiful at night, hammocks. It shares a pathway with the DriftInn that has the hot tub.
