We'd been to the hotel restaurant several times; this was our first time staying at the hotel. We love all the indoor and outdoor seating areas. We had a King balcony room and were able to relax out there before dinner. Halls were quiet - we didn't even hear the dog next door! Beds comfortable, bathroom towels were amazing. The soaps and shampoos smelled wonderful. Service and food in restaurant was excellent as always; make sure to order the squash blossoms and the signature soup.

Beautifully restored historic hotel. Very nice staff ( front desk, bartender and wait staff at the turquoise room ) fantastic food. Loved watching the trains go by From all the large windows.

The dining is a lovely experience and the atmosphere of the entire property was amazing. A historic property with beautiful architecture and lovely antiques throughout the place! The gift shop has an amazing selection of pieces some vintage items and all very pretty pieces! Truly one of the best places I’ve ever visited!

Give yourself time to see it all.

The hotel can be a destination not just a travel through night. Next time we will come for an extra night. There is a train station, a top notch museum, Tina Mion Art gallery, a excellent restaurant, cutest checkin gift shop, nice book store, native plantings and something to look and learn from at each turn. The entire complex is living history and a delight to explore.
